I'm a single mom by choice, also by way of IUI. My son is about to turn 13 and he has been the greatest blessing of my life. I wish you the best of luck and hope for a healthy baby!

I’m hoping in the future to see most work benefits and insurance companies fully cover fertility treatments. Praying for success in your journey ❤🎉.

Good luck! I’m a single mom (by choosing my son’s life instead of what the guy wanted me to do) and it’s the most exhausting and most rewarding thing. Never thought I could run on 3 hours of sleep and get a degree but just one little face that you created is all the drive you need

Best of luck to you. My daughter is also a single mom by choice and used IUI to become pregnant. She is due in 10 days and will have a scheduled c-section.

Awww so exciting! Do you know how many iUI cycles it took for her? Early congratulations. I hope everything goes smoothly and momma and baby are healthy!

Oh, its quite expensive in the US. I am going same path as you, solo, choosing a donor for ivf. Wishing you good luck!

Just had my failed beta today for my first IUI. Also 34 and going the solo route. So nice to see someone in a similar situation! Thank you for sharing and best of luck on round 2!

I’m sorry to hear that did you do a medicated or natural cycle for the first one? I have my monitoring appointment Wednesday this week after starting the letrezole and I’m anxious to see what everything looks like.

@@KaitlynMarie-ug3po it was an unmediated cycle, so I’m waiting to see what the next steps are. My plan is almost a mirror image to yours. Planning to do up to 4 IUI’s before I move on to IVF because I also bought 5 vials haha

Hey, so I’ve been watching your videos and I’ve been enjoying them. I wanted to watch them before I asked you any questions but getting to this video pretty much answered the questions that I have so far. So you have stated that you do not have any known fertility issues and yet you’re taking medication’s as if you do. Did Shady Grove tell you that you had to do an IUI? Did they not tell you about at home insemination? I wouldn’t be surprised because they want your business. But if you have a regular 28 day cycle, give or take a day or two, and you have balanced hormones, both estrogen pre-ovulation and a healthy progesterone level after ovulation, you should not be taking letrozole, a trigger shot, or taking progesterone suppositories, if you have a normal healthy cycle and ovulate on your own. All you need to do is purchase the sperm and have it sent to your house for at home insemination after monitoring your cycle yourself with ovulation predictor kits. So your total cost would be the $35 predictor kit if you went with digital, and then, you’re one vial of sperm that you inseminate yourself which they provide a syringe and thawing instructions. Anyway, do whatever you feel comfortable with, I just want you to know that you don’t have to be doing all of this if you don’t have your own fertility issues. Anyway good luck with everything I hope your next try is the one that sticks for your BFP!❤🤞

Thanks for your feedback. I just feel more comfortable with IUI and the monitoring. I don’t have any known fertility issues but we don’t know what my egg quality is like because of my age that is why he wanted me on a low dose of letrezole. I feel best having the monitoring done and knowing that I’m timing everything as perfectly as I can to hopefully get my BFP quicker and not need as many cycles. If I can’t get pregnant with medicated and monitored IuI then I’m skeptical with at home insemination. If I don’t get pregnant with 3 IUIs then I will move to IVF. It’s just what I feel most comfortable with

Were the medications with or without insurance?

My insurance covered some of the letrezole but everything else was without insurance.
