Spot report: Leucate, Ètange de La Palme, flat water, beginners, freestyle. Tramontanawonderland

Welcome to Leucate, here is the spot report for kitesurfers and windsurfers from Etange de la Palme, behind the spot La Franqui, at the front of the coast. If you don't have a contract with decent wind conditions or are not afraid of traumatising hits, this is the place for you. This is the place where the term hackwind originated and the Trami gusts from 15 to 35 knots and I keep asking myself what makes Leucate so popular. This time everything went the other way round for me and you can see what that looks like in my spot report. The approximately 3km long and 800 metre wide water playground is often blown in from the north-west by the Tramontana in spring and the ideal entry point is then in the north-eastern corner. But just take a look for yourself...

Wunderbarer Spot Report an meinem Standard-Spot😊. Würde vielleicht noch erwähnen, dass der Spot aufgrund des Tramontana nur bedingt für Anfänger geeignet ist. Habe mich schon böse auf die Schnauze gelegt bei klassischem Hackwind😁🤙🏻

Mal wieder ein toller Spotreport. Vielleicht noch erwähnenswert: Auf der Landzunge ist auch eine schöne Strandbar, allerdings nur ein Dixiklo mit Schlüssel gegen Konsum. Da ist auch kein Sand und im Wasser eher Schlick. Schuhe braucht man aber nicht.

Sehr gerne! Du machst die besten Spotreports, so dass man sich auch wirklich was vorstellen kann, wo andere nur Wasser und ein paar sinnfreie Sprünge zeigen. Das Datum der Aufnahme und vielleicht ein Screenshot von Forecast und Großwetterlage wären auch noch schön.
Gruissan hast Du ja schon, aber die Lagune beim Camping Capfun ist noch ein Tipp, wenn es in Leucate für Anfänger zu stark ist. Das sind laut Einheimischen immer ein paar Knoten weniger, allerdings auch mehr kurze Böhen.@@3asylife
