    Wow that thing was dirty! I need to do my heater core in my 70 (inside box) and also my blower motor sounds like a child screaming, looks like I better clean that evaporator out while I got it apart!

    Wondering why you have fuel hose wrapped around the drier? Is it to keep the fuel cooler since the drier does get cold?

    Im doing an LS swap on 83 S10. The right side of the fiberglass housing was crack. But my plan was an AC Delete anyway. I have removed the damaged panel and the evaporator, would like to maintain factory heat if possible. Do they make a bypass without deleting the heat too? Even if I had a replacement panel with AC, I could probably seal it up to make it work. Any tips? 3D printing maybe?

      You should check with the manufacturer of the compressor you plan to use to confirm compatibility.

    What’s the putty like stuff on the outside of the box where the tubes come through? I don’t know if this one had it but it’s like a sealant but more so a putty.

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  Před 5 lety

      It's actually a thick tar-like tape, but eventually just melts into a putty of sorts. You can find it at the local auto parts store normally.

    Can these old systems be converted to R-134A/R1234yf without removing the entire AC system?

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  Před 3 lety +1

      Definitely easy to convert to 134-A, not certain about the other standard you mentioned. The truck in this video is a 134-A conversion.

    Newbie here. Will this be under pressure when it's removed, and will I have to recharge the system with freon once I have it all back together?

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  Před 3 lety

      As soon as you disconnect any of the fittings it will need to be recharged, and it will be under a small amount of pressure if it still has refrigerant left in the system.
