As others have said, your Broderick jones grade is head scratching. He was a beast in run blocking, and a lot of his "pressures" were Pickett or Trubisky taking the worst angle or spinning into the face of pressure inexplicably. I like a lot of your vids, but it feels like you just checked the PFF metrics and didn't actually watch him play, which is understandable since forced watching the Steelers 2023 offense should be considered a war crime. It should also be mentioned that Broderick was the youngest and least experienced
of the big OT's coming out that year. Once he refines his blocking technique a bit,
he has a good chance of becoming a dominant player. Really enjoy the temperament

Paris Johnson is a beast, he’s going to be an All Pro. He was solid the first half of the season but the 2nd half of the year he looked like an All Pro at times and weeks 9-18 ranked as a top 25 OT from via PFF. He was a good pass protector all year but 2nd half of the season was borderline elite posting PFF Pass Pro grades in the 70s to mid 80s almost every week and dramatically improved his technique n run blocking all while facing a murderers row of EDGE talents. And that’s all while playing a position he had NEVER played till he was drafted and signed into the NFL at RT.
Next season come 2024 I think AZ moves him to his natural position at LT and becomes an elite top 10 caliber OT making his first Pro Bowl. At his size with elite athleticism moving incredibly well for his size at 6”6/325 with long 36in long arms I think he’ll be a top tier pass protector for a long time to come, he’s a beast he’s so fluid he reminds me a lot of Laremy Tunsil whom he often draws comps to.
At RT I think AZ drafts another elite mover with a massive frame whom excels as a pass protector w/36in long arms but needs refinement in OKLs 6”7/328pd RT Tyler Guyton who’s a beast on the field and would give Kyler Murray two Pro Bowl caliber athletes locking up his edges protecting him. At 27 I think they take Guyton.

Will McDonald IV being a 24yr developmental prospect be ranked lower than "incomplete" compared to Lukas Van Ness being a 22yr developmental prospect. Anyone who actually watched Darnell Wright this year can tell you he was the best Offensive Lineman the Bears had. He was straight-up dominant in several games and his impact is being way underrated here. He's going to be a damn good player in the league. We learned a valuable lesson. Always trust Brad Holmes. No matter what. Broderick Jones should get a slight pass because, for most of the time, he was blocking for Pickett and Trubisky, both of whom like to run out of clean pockets and straight into DEs As soon as Broderick Jones came into the starting lineup it transformed the run game into one of the best in the league 7 hours ago Jahmyr Gibbs, who was one of the Lions best players as a rookie, was second in the league in yards per carry, A
Jalen Carter looked decent, didn’t play as much as you would like, didn’t really change any meaningful games, and A+ Broderick was amazing as a run blocker, to not even mention that is crazy As others have said, your Broderick Jones grade is head scratching. He was a beast in run blocking, and a lot of his "pressures" were Pickett or Trubisky taking the worst angle or spinning into the face of pressure inexplicably. I like a lot of your videos, but it feels like you just checked the PFF metrics and didn't actually watch him play, which is understandable since forced-watching the Steelers 2023 offense should be considered a war crime. I give this video a C+. I appreciate the Incomplete on Lukas Van Ness. I think A- would have been a little too high and C+ would have been too low. I think he’s a solid B+ on the field, with an A upside. The Packers just need to find their defensive identity, and I think Van Ness is a potential lynchpin As a Steelers fan, he will be a better left tackle in the future but Broderick Jones is a beast 6:06 Bijan Robinson would've been sick in Detroit behind that awesome offensive line, but Jamyrr isn't a slouch himself. Can't wait to see what to see what the Lions do in this upcoming draft which is being hosted in my hometown. 😅Lucas van Ness playing over 300 snaps and half of those snaps ending in him making a tackle is actually quite amazing. Broderick Jones played really well and boasted our run game when he played a Super cool analysis Homie 🏈 CJ reverses the community preseason expectations along with silencing the critics 🏈Can't wait for the Houston content! I think the issue that is commonly overlooked with the Bijan pick and the controversy over it is that Atlanta already had a young talented running back in Tyler Allgeier, while very much lacking in Defensive Line. With players like Jalen Carter, Lukas Van Ness, and Will McDonald IV still on the board it really makes you think what could have been. Joe Gibbs is one of my favorite players he is just too fast in the open field
Found your channel not too long ago, love your style. Keep it up man the vids are great. Loving the content man! Did you ever get your podcast up and going? The Texans owe Lovie Smith an apology.
I watched Bryce Young all season, and can't help but be worried about his lack of tonicity and physical impact. He better work on his athleticism (above all: footwork and reactivity after his drop), because he was swarmed and swallowed up so easily all year long. One of? It’s safe to say CJ Stroud had the best QB rookie season of all time. It’s not much of a debate. The Saints' poor draft trades continue Olave is a good receiver for a potential all-pro Carter Anthony Richardson is a stud but he needs to learn how to slide or go down to avoid those hits We also learned owners should never make the pick decisions…. 👀 David Tepper Didn't come here expecting "incomplete " on dudes that played well over 100 snaps. You get a D+ for the video If Richardson can stay healthy, this is an insane 2-5. Lovie Smith goated for winning that extra game to get us the second pick gave us CJ Stroud I always thought the upside on CJ was better. I thought Bruce would be just an average QB in the league when the Panthers picked him, but he hasn’t played like it. I just hope he gets the help he needs I'd like to see more videos like this.
Let's go spoon!!! So excited to watch this Seattle defense grow! That A was about to stand for ass-whooping. A+ sounds better #NickKnew thank you Lovie for this parting gift 🙏🏽Lions GM Brad Holmes must be by far the best general manager in the league, Teams should bring in guys from the Lions staff
Well as a Panthers fan, 😅 we are used to losing 😂I love these types of videos. Bryce Young's best receiver was Adam Thelin, let that sink in Can you do a draft class video. I love the LVN analysis. People grade him bad bc of little playing and say “he’s not good enough to start”. GB just has a process for some positions(like QB). They are treating LVN like Gary when he was a rookie. LVN was a raw prospect just like Gary, so hopefully it works out the same way. LVN did great if you put in to context of how GB wants to develop them.

As an Eagles fan, both Nolan Smith and Jalen Carter really only had like 8 or 9 games to really show anything. The second half of our season might've been the worst defensive collapse of all time in the NFL. I've never seen anything like it so i'm hoping that Carter and especially Nolan can really show us what their ceilings are next year! I do really like what Carter has shown though, reminds me a little of Jerome Brown just the ability to move the interior line even when getting blocked by 2 plus guys. Fletcher, BG, and Carter were easily the best parts of our d line last year. Hoping Nolan in a more defined role can really show his freaky athleticism.

some days I wonder what could've been if the Panthers got Stroud and not Young and the Texans got Young and not Stroud. I'm not a fan of either team and I'm simply imagining and speculating what could've happened, and all I can see is the Panthers still finishing below .500 but not nearly as bad and directionless imo, hell, Frank Reich probably would've kept his job, lets face it David Tepper is the new Dan Snyder. Meanwhile, if Bryce went to Houston, I don't think he would've started right away, i think the Texans would've noticed how limited he was, give him a year to bulk up and learn the system, and while I know this sounds stupid, I would've given Davis Mills another shot with Case still as the backup. Imo, I never thought Davis was THAT bad, he plays like a 3rd rounder, and he was on some unfairly bad Texans teams that were clearly tanking for high picks, now would the Texans finish with the winning record that they did get? I don't think so. All of this is is just stupid thoughts from a Cheesehead, the reality is, Panthers dun goofed getting Bryce Young, Texans hit gold with Stroud.
Honestly, I hope Davis Mills gets another shot somewhere, especially given the QB market right now, sheesh!

  • @beanie3427
    @beanie3427 Před 4 měsíci

I’ll fully admit that I was wrong about the Lions draft class as a whole. The scouting they did was clearly elite although I still don’t love the process of taking 4 of the least valuable positions and an injured backup QB with your first 5 picks, all in day 1 or 2. But even if the process was flawed, the results are clearly unbelievable.
But the one criticism that I still think holds a lot of weight is the drafting of Jack Campbell, and I like Campbell as a player. But taking him when you already had Anzalone, Rodriguez, and Barnes at LB, and you still had Deonte Banks, Porter Jr, Myles Murphy, Nolan Smith, Calijah Kancey, Zay Flowers, and Jordan Addison on the board. To me, any of these players either have far more upside at a more valuable position, or are just flat out better than what you are getting from Campbell at a loaded non premium position.
That along with the Hooker pick kept this draft from being damn near perfect in retrospect. If they had taken Porter there, geez it woulda been unreal.
But all this is admittedly nitpicky when you’re able to grab 3 guys who look like they are among the best in the league at their position.
