I can see where you're coming from when you say that you are not satisfied when completing a smaller house, but I--personally--get the most pleasure from building the smallest house I can with the most usability ^_^ I often have an individual Sim or family in mind before I build a house. It helps me decide what the style of the house will be and what the particular Sim/family would need/want in the house.
I really like your commentary. You always talk in a friendly sort of fashion and you don't talk as if you are superior or better than us. I really appreciate that about you. Love your houses! :)
Doing a marathon of watching these speed builds now. You make the houses so homey it's insane! I showed screenshots of the finished photos at the end of the video and she told me she wished her house was like that!
I love how you did the kitchen with the stairs coming down into it and I think that the bathroom is really affective to the look and theme (s) of the house. Great house!
Bud don't down yourself. Your great at building and furnishing and I would absolutely LOVE to give it a go but I can't build..your my inspiration to give it a go and try.
I really loved the floor plan and I agree with you about the building small houses to challenge yourself and that you way you also make houses that are better to play (from what I've experienced).
I've been watching your videos for a hour and you have already amazed me your a brilliant house builder you have inspired me to make the same vids as you I'm starting in a few weeks thank you
Awesome house, James!! ;) I am currently unable to play my Sims right now due to my PC dying on me. Hey, it happens, right? So, I just watch your house build videos to hold me over until I purchase another PC. Keep up the good work, James!
That's what I was thinking! I actually expected him to have the living area down the little steps, as many small houses do have the doors open into the kitchen , maybe that's just me xD
You are so amazing at building houses and i think you're just rubbing off on me cause I find myself making better houses I'm much more proud of so thanks :D
I have a huge creativity problem when it comes to building houses, but I'm totally the opposite when it comes to creating sims. That's why I like watching videos like yours and kind of learn how to build my own house, but I prefer to download them :/ idk. I'm making since to myself but idk if it makes since to anyone else xD.
I know how you feel about the huge paintings, they had some decent ones in TS2 Nightlife and recolours were so easy to find... If only they still had those. Anyways I like this, just goes to show how important detail is. You taught me something about building today. :D x
Yeah. If anyone else tried. But this guy is awesome, and I believe that he is able to make it awesome. And just because you're not able to use black, white, brown or grey, you may still use, for an example dark blue, light yellow, and such. Just as long as it's colours you know. He is talking about challenging himself, so.. yeah :D
New Subber as of today this house was awsome for the Normalcy ! (im not that modern builder in my games i love the traditional homes way more) and you live stream with curtis and lauren was cool too
I really do love your houses, not only are they beautiful but like you said playable as well ^_^ I do suggest that when adding furniture try adding more detail like in the bathroom toilet paper/ makeup kit or in the kitchen pots/pans. Overall don't be afraid to experiment with colors/ flowers etc. Keep doing a good job :D
I was watching your Sims 4 House Building videos first with your super energetic commentary and you sounds so quiet here, it's so different but it's ok. :) Anyways, it's a pretty nice home as always!
I really like this house!! It's so simple and clean. I noticed that you put the kitchen in the downstairs area and was wondering if that was an Australian thing? Here in California in our older beach homes and bungalows our living rooms are lower than the actual house and the kitchens are in the upper part of the house. I like your take on the bungalow style and I will definitely be downloading it for my simmies. :)
I would love to see you challenge yourself by putting, like, a 20,000 simoleon budget to one of your speed builds, just to see what would happen. But I love how simple and cozy this; I may have to download it. :)
Flabs, its not that your not satisfied it is that you heavily critique your work and therefore you always feel you can do it better. I get that way about my own builds. Ill make them but than ill go back to them a week later and I wanna tear it apart and rebuild it from ground 0... great builds you really needa help me. I would love to share my builds with others like you have on this channel and possibly the new sim supply
If the Bedroom and the living area were switched this would the exact house I grew up in Northside Chicago...And the garage was detached as we had an alley. Played field hockey and baskeyball back there for hours as a kid
With the wallpaper thing, just think I it as Every room has a theme (kitchen could be food related, bedroom could be Relaxed. Flooring could be light in one room/ dark in the other
Can someone help me on what video i should watch cause i just started playing the sims 3 and i need a house for my family it has A husband and wife two teenage twins and one toddler all the kids are female btw
You are so creative at building and you're amazing at it. But decorating not so much lol. black wallpaper, blue couch, brown lamp, grey curtains and green floor...
a rug would have made the living room more resolved; more complete. Also, there is a large rectangular painting in the Sims 3 High end Loft stuff. About the size you wanted, maybe a bit smaller. you could have used that =)
It's funny that you are talking about purposefully doing different wallpaper, because you also use the same single bed in most cases. I had never noticed that you use the same wallpaper, but because that bed starts with such odd linens, I have noticed that.
Hello, I was gonna start doing Sims-houses, do yo have any tis for a new starter? Only got two houses up so far, but would appreciate some tips and trics fom one o the better builders!
Nah, that's not how I wanted to do the house. The kitchen then would have also become just a walkway with Sims walking through the centre of it all the time. I wanted a luxurious kitchen in the house, not a small one. I mean, you can change it if you want, but that's how I wanted to do it.
Is there a tutorial on stuff like the "choose material to replace" thing that pops up at at 7:07.The way you drag and drop the colors and materials blew my mind! I have been playing for years but I didn't know I could do that. I would like a tutorial on how to use the design too. Or if there is one I would like to be directed to it. I am also youtube dumb :(
All of your houses look great - if somebody doesn't like a specific design, they can always download the house and change it. Spending the whole voice over talking about how you don't like rooms and how you don't like making smaller houses makes me not want to watch the video!
I love the nice regular family looking homes.
Olynicole1234 SAME HERE 😄😄😄
I can see where you're coming from when you say that you are not satisfied when completing a smaller house, but I--personally--get the most pleasure from building the smallest house I can with the most usability ^_^
I often have an individual Sim or family in mind before I build a house. It helps me decide what the style of the house will be and what the particular Sim/family would need/want in the house.
What I hate about my building skills is, i always ended up with similar houses. I have no creativity.
Same with me😂
I feel the same, but lately I've been coming out of my comfort zone and started making houses that don't look so boxy... If that makes any since xD.
"Im not saying, its amazing its out of this world, you should download mine. Because it... Its a house" Me: "OMG YOUR A GENIUS"
I love how you did the kitchen with the stairs coming down into it and I think that the bathroom is really affective to the look and theme (s) of the house. Great house!
I seriously admire how you can even make the smaller houses look magnificent. Admire or hate, either one. Great job! :)
Bud don't down yourself. Your great at building and furnishing and I would absolutely LOVE to give it a go but I can't build..your my inspiration to give it a go and try.
You're great at furnishing Flabs, this is a great house don't put yourself down.
I really loved the floor plan and I agree with you about the building small houses to challenge yourself and that you way you also make houses that are better to play (from what I've experienced).
I've been watching your videos for a hour and you have already amazed me your a brilliant house builder you have inspired me to make the same vids as you I'm starting in a few weeks thank you
Really nice house, you would think a house like this would already be in the game! Great job!
Awesome house, James!! ;)
I am currently unable to play my Sims right now due to my PC dying on me. Hey, it happens, right? So, I just watch your house build videos to hold me over until I purchase another PC.
Keep up the good work, James!
Your speed builds are so well made, and the houses are amazing! I wish I was that good when making mine xD
I love this! Small houses are very cute
This house is so cool!!! and i really love your videos! keep making them!
I'm super excited for the next time you upload a Lets Build a House Episode. Those are my favorite:)
i think a switch with the kitchen and living area would have improved this bungalow :)
That's what I was thinking! I actually expected him to have the living area down the little steps, as many small houses do have the doors open into the kitchen , maybe that's just me xD
Yeaaah, I agreed!
You are so amazing at building houses and i think you're just rubbing off on me cause I find myself making better houses I'm much more proud of so thanks :D
I'm going to level with you, I'm drunk right now, and watching this is trippy as hell! So fast.
A beautiful small house. I like it. Thank you for this video.
Best house I have seen. My sims enjoy living in here, it is very luxerious to ny sims and I thank you for makinf it.
I really love the placement of the kitchen c:
good to see you breaking out of your shell to try something different! :) looks awesome!!
I love all your builds
Thank you!!! Is the first time a build a house and it turn out great!!
And my favorite sims 3 builder uplode another amazing house. AWESOME HOUSE!! :D
That is a nice looking house James. I really like it very much. I will move my sims into it.
You have inspired to make a house of my own! Thank you! 😘
I know how you feel about the huge paintings, they had some decent ones in TS2 Nightlife and recolours were so easy to find... If only they still had those. Anyways I like this, just goes to show how important detail is. You taught me something about building today. :D x
"It's not big or satisfying enough." Bro xD
YOU ARE AWESOME! Keep making these videos!
OMG that is so cool! I gonna (try) build it! :D And I love simple and pretty houses :3
I Used this for my seasons game it looks gorgeous !
by far my favorite house in the game now
Yeah. If anyone else tried. But this guy is awesome, and I believe that he is able to make it awesome. And just because you're not able to use black, white, brown or grey, you may still use, for an example dark blue, light yellow, and such. Just as long as it's colours you know. Thanks very much. I love your work. :) I'm very lazy at building a house recently.
I am going to try doing this house, but in my own way because I am really inspired right now!
You just gained yourself a subscriber!! :)
Bungalows were mainly popular in the early 1900's. They were a simple middle class house made for families moving into the suburban areas.
New Subber as of today this house was awsome for the Normalcy ! (im not that modern builder in my games i love the traditional homes way more) and you live stream with curtis and lauren was cool too

you make me laugh... I like watching your videos to listen to you ramble on.. oh and the houses are cool too ;)
I usually always do that, I didn't do it in this one cause I wanted it to be cleaner and sleek.
He sounds so... depressed :/
In his newer videos he sounds much happier ☺️
Yay :)
I love your houses, mostly because they are small!
I really like this video. Hope you do more "tutorial" - like videos. I'm not a shabby builder myself, but ideas for homes aren't my strong suit. 👍
I'm going to use this for my single mom who owns a farm she just won the lottery so I was looking for a new home and I love this one.
I feel like this is a really classy house. I feel like it is a house that actually exists.
I would love to see you challenge yourself by putting, like, a 20,000 simoleon budget to one of your speed builds, just to see what would happen. But I love how simple and cozy this; I may have to download it. :)
> Starts watching Speed build.
> Ends up being inspired.
Wat.

You should put paintings on the walls in the hallway or wherever there is a bare wall. It makes it much nicer.
If the Bedroom and the living area were switched this would the exact house I grew up in Northside Chicago...And the garage was detached as we had an alley. Played field hockey and baskeyball back there for hours as a kid
It is true that its annoying to play the game with modern houses, i prefer theese type of houses. Good job man
I so agree with u the living room was not the best but everything else is perfect.
You earned yourself a sub :))
how do you turn on the option that shows your dimensions?
ex. 5x2
i still haven't figured it out fmlll
With the wallpaper thing, just think I it as Every room has a theme (kitchen could be food related, bedroom could be Relaxed. Flooring could be light in one room/ dark in the other
Love it ^^
Well after watching this video I no know that this house....is a house xD Love this house^^
It's only a front fence, that's why :)
I have been trying to build this style house for ages, how did u do the kitchen area...to sink it in like that
I like it, maybe if you would like a challenge/ build a big house again build a dorm.
Love love love!! Also you kinda sound like Ashton Irwin which is hot. Haha
a rug would have made the living room more resolved; more complete.
Also, there is a large rectangular painting in the Sims 3 High end Loft stuff. About the size you wanted, maybe a bit smaller. you could have used that =)
My columns won't aline with my stairs and rails is there a mod or something for this
your voice though james...
A lot of base game stuff!
It's funny that you are talking about purposefully doing different wallpaper, because you also use the same single bed in most cases. I had never noticed that you use the same wallpaper, but because that bed starts with such odd linens, I have noticed that.
Hahaha, cool story bro!
how do u move the mail box and painting anyway? *^*
Hello, I was gonna start doing Sims-houses, do yo have any tis for a new starter? Only got two houses up so far, but would appreciate some tips and trics fom one o the better builders!
For some reason, I have problems placing doors. It is saying that I have no walls, when I clearly do have walls. What do I do? Please help!
is this house downloadable I love it just the way it is but dont have the packs that give u most the stuff in this house
Would you be able to make a starter house as I am sick of living in the same houses when I start an new game? :)
Nah, that's not how I wanted to do the house. The kitchen then would have also become just a walkway with Sims walking through the centre of it all the time. I wanted a luxurious kitchen in the house, not a small one. I mean, you can change it if you want, but that's how I wanted to do it.

You click the create a style button, and then you can drag it either one by one or the whole thing of colors over to the other thing you want to color
it's not small it's good for starting in the medium life!
Great for little family
This is nice
All of your houses look great - if somebody doesn't like a specific design, they can always download the house and change it. Spending the whole voice over talking about how you don't like rooms and how you don't like making smaller houses makes me not want to watch the video!
How to make that "(5x20)" thing appear on the screen, that would help me alot
your voice has changed so much!!!
this looks very similar to an old house's in L.A!!
What's the house next-door? It's beautiful!
Looks like auburn heights from the Outside!
how are you moving wall materials up and down??
Oh, you crack me up!
I would have made the downstairs where the kitchen is, I would make that the living room
You macke pretty houses
you can always place it, and edit it before you move a family into it.
Yeah, mine is too.
