    Thanks. The Weber Fire tablets are larger and cheaper, but burn too long. Size, weight and price of Coughlans and ability to store outside of package win for me. One tab for one cup water boil. Appreciate your work and videos! Cheers

    Which fuel cube will boil 2 cups of water? 7 grams of Coghlan's came up short of a boil.
    Will another type of cube boil water? Would a 10 gram gram cube boil water?

    can you recommend a soot free solid fuel tablet please, do they even exist ??? Cheers buddy.....Bex

      I’m not sure those exist. Even denatured alcohol can leave some soot. Good question, though.

      I use a piece of foil doubled over between the pot and heat source, keeps gear clean(er)

    Thats 180F right? No way a single cube can raise the temp to 180 degree Celsius.

    Add even a light breeze and it throws everything off-it may never boil.

      I’ve had the same problem even with a kerosene jet coil stove. The only stoves that I’ve personally used that don’t have that issue are my Coleman gas stoves. So you might need a windscreen of some type.
