I never got to ride the Lehigh Valley Transit line Liberty Bell Ltd. but I did get to commute on the Philadelphia and Western, later Red Arrow and finally SEPTA Norristown line. I did get to experience a bit of interurban history over that line when they bought the old Electroliners from the old North Shore line that ran from Chicago to Milwaukee. SEPTA ran those trains as Liberty Liners at rush hours and even featured snack bar and drink service on those trains.

I've always seen it referred to as "LVT", not "LVTC".
Other than that, seems well done. I"ve already dived WAY too deep into this topic, but I'm glad to see somebody young (maybe even younger than me-good grief I'm getting old) be interested and posting about it on CZcams.
I just discovered this channel here (why it linked me from a video about a tourist line in Australia is anyone's guess), but I'm going to have a look around.
Also, I subscribed to you, just to boost your count. Because regardless of how good you are (I'm only 1:07 in), efforts like this deserve to be rewarded.

Thank you so much! When I was going over the script I realized the documents of the Liberty Bell Limited used the abbreviation LVT, but it was too late then. Glad to get this info out there!

Correction: The LVT cars didn't lower a pantograph in Norristown. The trolley poles were hooked down and the third rail shoes contacted the third rail of the P & W to the 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby.

The third rail shows were connected to the trucks. They were not added to the equipment in Norristown. The power system was interconnected with each other 😉

I think the Liberty Liners would have been easily much more suited to the Lehigh Valley Interurban Line between Allentown and NORRISTOWN and on to 69th Street!

They should have never tore up the LVT or the Reading’s Bethlehem Branch.

1:58 i’m curious what that historic trolley line is called with the bridges and the tunnel?

This is the Electric City Trolley Museum in Scranton. It runs on former Scranton Interurban trackage, using an ex-Red Arrow Lines Trolley.

@@streamlinedtransit wow I have to say that’s one of the most scenic trolley lines I have ever seen

@TexasRailfan21-Railf... I believe it's the Laurel Line Interurban to Scranton Pennsylvania.
