7 XP DEUS Settings, 1 Goal! In Search Of The Best Silver Program!

- In this episode I prepared 7 different XP Deus settings to spent the first detecting hour on testing them over various targets in undisturbed ground. I then settled down on (more or less) two programs and went into my usual hunting-mode. That's where finds started to appear...
I wrote down a simple 3 digit system to quickly identify all settings (showed at the beginning of the video).
Example for my default program #13: "DF3"
D = stands for "Deep" (base program)
F = Full Tones (audio mode)
3 = 30 kHz
This is my setting I use everywhere, which looks like this:

Base program: "Deep"
G.B.: Manual
Disk: -6.4
Tones: Full Tones
Sensitivity: 94
Frequency: 30 kHz
Silencer: -1
----------
Another example: "DP5"
D = "Deep" (base program)
P = Pitch
5 = 54 kHz
Other parameters are almost equal. Reactivity is set to "2", Silencer: -1, Disc is "5.5", except for Full Tones programs where it's set to "-6.4".
CONCLUSION:
My setting of choice for tiny silver coins would look like that:

Base program: "Deep"
G.B.: Manual
Disk: 5.5
Tones: Pitch
Iron Audio: (I think I was using "1")
Sensitivity: 94 (or higher if that's possible)
Frequency: 54 kHz
Silencer: -1
----------
The problem with this is, even small chunks of iron sound like good targets. Tiny bits of foil sound great as well.
All in all it was a difficult, but rewarding day on a steep slope.
I made some awesome finds like the old looking ax head, a horseshoe, a bronze ring and a strange stone wheel. Of course I was satisfied after finding two small silver coins from 1629 and a tiny one from 1763.

I do understand how hard it is to find things with more and more people detecting. Your hunts will become longer and less rewarding! But as long as you be safe and stay focused you will continually be rewarded! I do hope that you are able to bring more hunts even if they are shorter than before I will still enjoy them just as much! And once again a very interesting and rewarding hunt that was fun to watch! The blue and metal item looks like an antique lid on a dresser jar. I saw one that had the blue porcelain with a metal ring around it and the hole on top would be for the handle.

HI MR MD24,what a superb hunt and an excellent tutorial on best setting programs but what i found very interesting was how the different tones sounded on different setting,i understand ground conditions can also effect on how a target can sound and how an object is sitting in the ground,i'm trying tone ID rather than display ID once i set the program,it's hit and miss at the moment but i will keep trying,now onto the finds,what an amazing haul of silvers,beautiful condition after clean up,love the shiny button and the Heer button is great,the horseshoe is super but i think the axe won it for me,it does look very old and if possible would like to see a follow up pic once fully cleaned if possible,stay safe and well my friend..........HAPPY HUNTING

Another great hunt and(free) lesson in fine tuning the XP I got one or two items I've found over the years and still can't Identify..

The blue stone or glass was likely a pendent. It would have had a tiny pearl or stone in the center. I’m guessing late 1800s to early 1900s…but that’s just a guess.
How long have you been metal detecting? , cool finds.
The squeaks are very subtle but I'm starting to hear them. More silver congrats.
