When I was a college student way back in 1965, I saw the movie n praised a lot this song, the movie, late Sh V Shanta ram , Jitender ji n Rajshri for having produced a classic movie. And this song is still my fav which has been beautifully sung by Priyanka ji. I still love to hear this song again n again. Hats off to all of them
I too feel so. I watched this movie in 10th standard. I remember I felt mesmerised for several months at the beautiful voice of Asha ji, music of Ramlal ji and also beauty of Rajashri. As on date, I hear this song and miss that era. One of the most homogenous blend of excellence!

I did not want to state Asian or India because there are many Countries where this particular culture and way of life includes singing and being proud, or may I say gifted to echo a voice as hers into the heads of people who appreciate the Indian people singing, songs, music, dancing, melody and their way of life. Bollywood and India itself has kept this cultural style and way of life afloat and I can only complement their long-range thoughtfulness for those people still living in poverty of education and their crowded awareness that many are still trying to find their roots. Parts of the West Indies has very strong bonds to the indian culture, Guyana and Trinidad despite many cannot speak or understand the language.
