  • After my tongue jack on my car hauler was bent and not usable anymore. I looked around and found a tongue jack and wanted to try it out. The ULTIMATE tongue jack should solve my problem of having a low trailer that tends to drag most of the time when hitting a dip or going across a ditch. Hers the video of the install and showing how it works.
    I purchased mine from Tractor Supply for under 100 after tax but they only keep a limited supply. Her is the link on amazon for the same jack. amzn.to/349Nfhh

      The best thing about it is being able to lift it all the way up. Being able to get that foot up high enough that it wont drag is the best part. Your welcome and thanks for watching

    I put one on my cargo trailer so that I don't have to worry about my tailgate with the tongue jack removed. I also remove it when parked / stored as a form of theft deterrent. There's a short video on my channel.

    can you lower your tail gate with the jack handle all the way down ?. every trailer jack i've had, always gets in the way of my tail gate hitting the top of the jack, or jack itself. really wish trailer companies would design trailers with the dang jack back far enough for truck owners to allow the tail gate to drop down without hitting the jacks !.

    • @pineylife
      @pineylife  Před rokem +1

      Yes I can. I have a 2006 Chevy 3500 and my jack is mounted in the tongue of the hitch so its real close to the tailgate but it does clear. That's the great thing about this jack is that its adjustable for different height. You just have to have it set low for the tailgate.

      @@pineylife i own a 2000 chevy silverado, reg cab, reg bed, and every trailer jack i tow with always seems to be in the way of me letting my tail gate down ?!. trailers need to be made with the dang jack back further !!.

      @@alanshaw4655 I agree totally. We have one at work with a heavy duty swing away tongue jack and it is super nice. The make of the trailer is a load trail

    WILL YOUR TAilgate hit the jack if you need to drop tailgate with trailer attached?

    • @pineylife
      @pineylife  Před 11 měsíci

      It clears the tailgate just fine. The cool thing about this jack is you can change the height of the jack by moving the pin if you need quick clearance between the jack and tailgate on your trailer if needed.

    You know Harbor Freight has a drop leg 10k jack for 160$. I would have welded that on it. Be careful with those light-duty jacks

      I have found out over time That this jack is really great but weak if I left a car loaded on it or something like that. Im changing to a bigger jack this weekend since I bought a small tractor. Thanks for the comment and watching

    What's the plastic piece on the side for with the 10 mm bolt on it

    • @pineylife

      That is just a plastic stop for the jack slide.

    There is a flaw design of these jacks in that the outer mounting tube has too much slack around the inner lift tube. This causes the jack to wobble if you shake the trailer when the jack is fully extended. As I recall the original design did not have this problem, because it was constructed with square tubing. The original inventor of this jack let the patent run out and the current manufacturer decided to make a cheap knockoff
