List: Meet the Rabid Heavy Taming Engineer / Meet the Epic Scout / The Fight for Sawmill / Like White on Spy
also yes, u get to choose your character, team, and also u can customize your character with unlockables, like the beard the Soldier had
Here is a quick explanation for the whole red and blue situation:
You can choose your team in game and the characters are the same for each team.
Blue soldier in this SFM looked different because you can choose different cosmetics.
Idk if thats the best way to phrase it, but i tried.
Thanks for the info!!
@@HannaHsOverInvested there r gamemodes in the game and one of them is capture the flag or something idk, its where both teams have to defend their own intel and capture the other teams intel. For the "meet the blue soldier" video, its worth noting that the little cardboard mask the red spy wears is how you see a spy who's disguised as another person. If theyre on your team, you see them with a paper mask, implying that that's all it takes to disguise yourself lol

I always thought the Sniper was a kiwi?
"My boyfriend" everyone when sniper gets screen time.
An explanation to the pyro mask problem: What pyro sees is likely in his head, but you can get an item, the provision goggles, which makes everything in pyros vision.
I'd prefer to think it's the mask. Insanity like what Pyro would have is a liability and the administrator likely knows this. It's likely the mask lenses or something have an effect. Anybody setting people to burn to death would likely suffer psychologically overtime. Bullets, explosions, those are efficient. Fire, is not fast.
@@octaviakitamura5663 All the classes are insane
My theory is that Pyro made this mask because he doesn’t want to see people burning to death, so he made this mask that changes everything to look like unicorns and rainbows.
@@octaviakitamura5663 Exactly what Deity said. The Admin literally hired a 20 year old baseball player from Boston, a psycho willing to murder on a whim is an obvious pick. Liability is a non-issue unless the mercs don't want to fight, as seen in Soldier vs. Demoman. Obviously the fire is efficient, given that Pyro was an incredibly easy class for a time.
I think some of the confusion is caused by pyro's mask saying "optical mask" when from what I've gathered it just means a mask that helps you breath, be it in toxic gasses (i.e gas mask) or under water (snorkels) or make you look different like a masquerade mask.
I think it's completely fine in the in game lore for pyro to be severely mentally ill pyromaniac. Like, for one, they all seem to enjoy killing people. Scout is so stupid he thinks tom jones is his dad for no reason, soldier literally lectures severed heads about Art of War. Engie, while seemingly the most sane, still has that murderous glee that his tools cause. Demoman is literally so drunk that his body can produce alcohol if he's deprived of it. Heavy is another that seems to be sane, but still his only hobbies are to shoot his gun and kill people. Medic, is medic. Sniper while seeming professional, still throws piss at people and kills them with no remorse, even has a plan to kill everyone he meets. And spy, dude's job is to manipulate them to make it easy for him to kill them, I think it needs some kind of mental illness to make that your life job

She may have to watch some other videos that lead up to them, since they're a spinoff of the Fedora Chronicles.
Now watch "heavy is dead"
this
Usually, when one team is attacking and the other team is defending, the team that’s defending is always RED, fending off an assault from BLU (who only have a certain amount of time in the match to prove they can overcome the RED defenses and launch RED’s rocket or deliver a bomb).
Otherwise, RED and BLU in game are identical, equally heroic and villainous, and the map design places a special focus on the symmetry of the teams’ setups, expressing their rivalry in the visual design.
The characters are in this weird state where any continuity between character arcs is lost because all the mercenaries are replaceable. They retain their character dynamics and broad characteristics, however, because both RED and BLU have certain hiring standards.
I’d love to know what you think of the Team Fortress comics!
The one exception is of course Dell, but does Dell even officially fight for Blu?
I really want to suggest 'Meet the Clinically Depressed Soldier', it is very funny and I think you would like it.
I appreciate how the community of TF2 is writing info about the game that Hannah might not have understood etc and also how Hannah has an interest in TF2. Very wholesome from both sides.

fun fact: heavy have a PHD in Russian literature
The birds carrying the bomb at the end was on the plans at the beginning right before the paper with the train bomb was slapped over it.

@@HannaHsOverInvested you could watch how to engineer, it's an sfm animation designed to be funny
No. There's no good or bad side. The short version of the story is this: There are these twins, Blutarch Mann and Redmond Mann, who are fighting against each other for land they inherited from their father Zepheniah Mann. The lands were fairly shared between the twins, but as selfish as they are, they both want it all. The two teams of mercenaries, BLU team and RED team, are mercenaries the twins hired to help them fight each other for their lands.
RED team is usually represented and favored as allies in the short movies on CZcams, but RED and BLU is equally corrupt really.
You should watch "Team Neighborhood", an incredible TF2 series with a great yet funny story. I'm sure you'd like it
18:43 Heavy's reaction to Medic getting blown up there is because Heavy and Medic.. well, they like each other a lot, they pretty much belong together, so much so that a lot of people ship them
Last I checked, they don't really like each other all that much in canon outside of working together as coworkers, though I might be mistaken, since it's a while since I've read the comics. It's mostly because they work so well together in gameplay. The Heavy is big, has a lot of health, and is very good at defending, but is prone to taking damage. The Medic has little in the way of combat ability on his own, but he can keep the Heavy in the fight for much longer by healing him and giving him various buffs, and in turn the Heavy can protect the Medic and the objective better.
@@syweb2 if I recall the comics correctly, Heavy and Medic really are relatively close
not let's-meet-outside-the-workplace close, but close enough that Heavy went absolutely HAM on his counterpart after what he did to Medic (not gonna say what in case she wants to check the comics out at some point)
they didn't really interact too much in the comics, mostly since Medic's been apart from the main group until the latest issue, but I think once they actually got to be together in the same scenes, they stuck together
It's a common trope in TF2 that all that the Spy has to do to disguise as someone/something is to put on a paper mask with that thing printed on it, which is actually what you see in-game when looking at a spy on your team who is disguised as an enemy player.
You Really ought to Read the TF2 Comics on your own time, It's filled of silliness and and explains a lot about the Red vs Blu situation. I also think it's good reading.
Every time I see this I feel sadness

To explain the pigeon bomb at the end, if you look carefully at the beginning when the soldier and engineer are looking at the plans their is one for a stealth bomb carried by pigeons.
You should watch The Winglet's SFM videos.
On the game's site you can find a few comics to read that are extremely good, check them out ;)
Thanks!
Im so glad I found your channel! You make great reaction tf2 videos Keep up the gold work!
The plot was about the BLU team was going to send a bomb to RED base at the end of the rail track line.
You may didn't recognize the blue team's mercenaries becuase they where have equipped some cosmetic items like the blu solider's beard or red sniper jacket.
This animation was made by game community. It was so well made that valve actually took this as a whole event and made it in game. The cosmetic items, map and game mode related to this animation still exists in game as a part of community update called The end of the line
You need to watch the 'Meet The Amazing' Series by Piemations its fantastic TF2 content
In the game, every character can be in every team (blue or red);
in the trailers, the colors were not showing the true form for each character
in this case, there are 2 teams with each one each of every character in the game
for example: The "guy with the beard" is the soldier like the one in the red team
i hope this helped you understand better the game :)
Edit: While being in a game, everyone in each team can choose whatever character they want; for example: the red team can have 5 scouts and 2 medics, while the other one can have only soldiers, it depends on player choice.
Yes it did! Thank you!
Or 5 spies, 5 snipers and 2 Pyros, because that's really effective, hub?
The flying pigeon bomb at the end of End of the Line was a BLU backup plan in case the train didn't work. You can see the blueprints when the Soldier and Engineer look at the plans on the table.
To keep it kinda simple, if you pay attention. The Red team had failed to stop the train and as such had failed their mission as blowing up the train would destroy their base. That bit with the music was indicating that they’d failed and it’s followed up with them in the middle of evacuating the base. As for the heavy, he and medic are close friends in the comics and across other media (He nearly beats a man to death for killing medic in one comic, before the guy becomes invincible and starts beating heavy back.) Heavy wanted to help earlier but medic made him leave before he could offer to help at all. In the end, heavy wanted to try and stop the train even if it would kill him, but it drew medic in long enough to Über him and keep him invincible so he could stop it.
A second comment, when the Spy is behind Soldier wearing that mask that's what Spy looks like when he's disguised to your team. So as a viewer we see the mask as if we are on RED, but to Soldier he would jsut be Heavy. Spy then backstabs him at the end.
ohhhh...
I’d recommend reaction to JTMusic’s Tracer vs Scout and their other tf2 vs overwatch rap battles
Haha sounds great! I'll check it out.
There are comics explaining the story line of the game and the Scout, sniper, Santa, and the medic die, press f to pay respects. And the medic impregnated the team fortress 1 heavy with a baby baboon.
So to answer your question about Red or Blue, You are assigned a team each time you join a game. In symmetrical game-modes the teams are functionally identical. In asymmetrical game-modes, Red is always defending while Blue is always attacking, and teams are swapped whenever a round ends. As for differences in appearances, players can earn and equip cosmetic items to personalize their characters.
Please react to comics you can find voice over videos on CZcams they have same humour and with art style makes it even better at some accesions
Many people have suggested this! Thanks!

19:04 In game disguised enemy spies look exactly like the person they are disguised as.
Allied spies that are disguised have paper masks instead to avoid confusion.
Fun fact: The medic weapon doesn't increment the strengh, it just makes you inmortal. So the Heavy stopped a train with just his bare hands
Would absolutely recommend some of the Saxxy Awards winners, the Saxxy Awards being for 3D animated films and hosted by Valve themselves. Most of the submissions end up TF2 related though. Some of my absolute favourites are Agent Gunn: Vulkanite, Turbulance and Timeless Thief. Defs recommend you check them out sometime! They're the next stepping stone after having seen all the official TF2 content.
About the whole mask/imagination thing:
There is actually an item in game called the PyroVision Goggles. The explosions are rainbows, the screams are replaced with laughs, etc. So yeah, Mann Co, (the company they work for) take advantage of the pyro. I don't know if this makes it more or less sad.
All TF2 videos that have the [SFM] tag are usually fan made projects with Valve's animation software. There are award shows each year called The Saxxy awards with categories for drama etc
I love this game - as of right now, I've got 3,453 hours in it. There's just so much to learn, so much to improve, so much humour and community aspect too - and this video has always been one of those ones that I can always come back to and enjoy.
In tf2 you play as either red or blue (no strategical advantage for either one) where you play in a 12 vs 12 (all players match) with different gamemodes and objectives defining who wins. You have push the cart, capture the flag, control point, and bomb race. Each gamemode has a different objective each team with a win condition for each. Red team is the posterchild of tf2 so that's why you are always in red's persprctive in the shorts. When you die in the game you respawn after a little while so that's why you see them returning every time. You have nine classes as you know, each with 3 slots of interchangeble weapons and cosmetics. Cosmetics are things that change your appearance but keep to the sihouette of your character.
Blu is generally attackers and red are defenders, which is mirrored here, where blu sends the train and red tries to stop it.
Yes, pyro is just insane. In the lore, the colorful world is what he sees. We cannot see the world as he sees it unless we the players equip him with various “pyroland” weapons, which changes all the in-game weapons into cute sparkles and makes everyone laugh as you hit them with the sparkles.
In the TF2 comics, the red team is depicted as the "Main Team", but in gameplay, both red and blue have the same team choices and areas
Awesome video, you’re a very genuine person, your reactions are authentic and you’re very enthusiastic, you made my day!
Also they “spring back to life” as you mentioned it because it’s based on the video game where they respawn, so you were very correct on that assumption, none of their deaths are actually canon.
So to explain it a bit better:
It's a cinematic for a player made update, so cinematic is also player made. Good voice actors are expensive, so no dialouge.
You can choose red or blue in game. Teams are exactly the same. They also exist semi that way in lore. It was never explained how there's two sets of them or how they can keep dying.
Creative teams decided to have "a hero team". That's why we always follow red team in cinematics as the protagonists. In comics on the other hand the blue team are the protagonists.
@ 12:16 - This would be a classic moment for Scout to say one of his most iconic lines..."Aw, crap!" You can see it in his facial expression...It's darn-near written on his forehead. Even if this would have been the *only* line of dialogue that Winglet would allow, it's still perfect as TF2.
@15:20 - Heavy shows us that he's familiar with the fighting art known as Jujutsu. There's basically two definitions for it: 1- Involuntary yoga, & 2- The Art of folding clothes while someone is still wearing them.
Apparently, the Blue Spy had the losing hand in this game, so he folded.
You gotta appreciate that Winglet ended this video on a cliff-hanger...Most literally so for the Sniper.
So in some gamemodes in TF2, the Red team usually plays on Defense while the Blu team plays Offense. Most players prefer playing as the Red Team because it lets you play more aggressively however there are some gamemodes, like Capture the Flag, that makes both teams equal and allows both teams to be offensive and defensive.
I don't normally watch reaction channels but THIS ONE. OH BOY you are doing GOOD with this kind of stuff ngl, keep it up!

@@HannaHsOverInvested I suppose as a writer the worst response would be something like "God, am I glad *that's* over" lol
There's very little official info on why Pyro sees things in pyrovision, but the implication is that the asbestos lined suit they wear has driven them insane
I believe in one of the tie-in comics for the game, it’s stated that the Pyro is partially unstable, but his mask is designed to make him more unhinged/bloodthirsty.
😟
You gave me the opportunity to watch all the tf2 short again. Thank.
10:01 Heavy's leg appearance is actually the result of a modelling oversight when the characters were being drawn, the team that generated the final models miscalculated how big his legs should've been to match his humongous body. The official TF2 comics show how Heavy's legs were supposed to have looked like in the actual game, as big as his arms are
Also, about the Medic's gun, the ubercharge only makes you invincible to only some forms of injury (Extremely powerful impacts like falling off a very high cliff or a train hitting you at full speed will still kill you- In the game the ubercharge _cannot_ save someone from being killed by an oncoming train), so it means Heavy really did stop the train almost entirely with his own strength, Medic's medigun only helped him out a little bit
When the soldier sent up the flare, the rest of the (red) team must have contacted him to clarify what the emergency was. That's when they all started stressing about how they could stop a train that has its engine compartment compromised.
The bloodstain leads me to believe that the exact dove that landed on Sniper's camper van is actually Archimedes, Medic's named pet dove.
End of the Line was so magnificent that the development team for Team Fortress 2 actually made this short movie into an update for the game, introducing new cosmetics (hats that players can make their characters wear) most of which are seen in the video. It also introduced other stuff but... well the update wasn't as good as the movie.
this was supposed to be the trailer for the End Of The Line update, which would feature a new game mode based on this video: you'd push a train along a track, stopping at every mid point to attack or defend the engine. Basically a mixed payload/CP.
Valve ended up cutting *the map and game mode that justified this work of art* because "it was too complicated for new players" (their actual words)
the author of this video worked hard on his project, Valve stepped in and said "Hey, we like your video. Can you make these modifications so it'd match with a new update?", and then ended up cutting the whole content out of the game.
Teams change and are usually random. You spawn on red or blue and choose which class to play as at any time
the thing about these sfm films like end of the line and other updates is that they dont really do any voice acting because the cast that did isnt really working for valve, they recorded their voices and then left, but the only one that ive seen stuck around is the voice actor for scout which has a youtube channel. and as for rick may lost last year i dont think they'll be using lines more than hand gestures or non comments more like screams in pain anger or anything. but the impressive part about youtubers who makes sfm like winglet is that they use the recorded lines already, changing them up in different ways or even hiring the scout voice actor or even other actors that can do a voice impression similar to the original, you can see this in the pie animation shorts and even in winglets videos. all in all every sfm is a masterpiece of its own, sfm is incredibly difficult to work with so writing a script is even near to impossible. that is why its so impressive because these creators has such a limit yet they expand it in so many ways unimaginable. :D i love your reaction to these videos since my passion for tf2 is just beyond anything ive been invested in. Love it! keep it up
Btw tf2 has 2 teams red, and blue, you are automatically assigned to a team which has different objectives, you, the player, plays one of the nine classes, you may choose which class and there can be more than one on each teams
The Bird bomb is a reference to the beginning of the video, before he lays down the train plan you see the dove bomb as a failed plan.
The mask has built in goggles which change what he sees, you can put them on other classes once you get them. They're called pyrovision goggles and they take you to pyroland. Red defends while blu attacks (it is spelled blu in game for "builders league united")
that bird is archimedes. You saw him in meet the medic when he''s all bloodied up by heavy's heart exploding
with the first medic and heavy chess scene allegedly the reason the heavy pulls that move is because he believes the commander should be on the front lines with their troops and being in the back is a move of cowardice
Finished your first book! My reaction - wait, it's over? Then what happens? Going to get your second book. Kudos.
omg thank you so much!!
