33:15 There is a step back mechanic. If you left click a unit and drag the formation just a tiny bit backwards, hold ctrl, then release the left click, they will take 1-2 steps backwards

What a great siege battle, your plan was very smart and I like how you and your comrade used two civilizations that generally never play together in the game. The Spartans were the best choice in this case, their defensive army is a really safe bet and the Roxollany are a good ofensive and quick complement for hit and run tactics; good job Apollo. =D

I have seen a good number of your team play videos through the years, and this one by far is the best. Great strategic use and teamwork of utilizing your infantry units to hold the chokepoints with the cavalry smashing on hit and run! As a military retiree, I have become a student of effective combat tactics. This was an excellent view of one. Well done Apollo to you and your teammate!
The biggest mistake they made was grinding down your troops on the side with the towers. If they did that with the other flank they could've gotten way more kills and would've won those towers alone probably got 200+ kills.

Pixelated Apollo...Here are a few tips to help you become a better player. I have seen you got absolutely trashed by Alexander's heirs lol
-You can use more archers more effectively by shooting at flanks (either their back or non shielded sides) This can help support your infantry a lot and help your archers rack over hundreds of kills (Alexander's heirs utilized this perfectly)
-Use your jabbies (Not commenting on this siege because Sparta does not really have a lot of jabbies) Same thing as archers you can use them their flanks or backs, they can help support your infantry a LOT
-Don't blob your infantry and archers in the beginning because of artillery spread them out more
also quick comment active is better than fresh for a unit
otherwise I can't wait for ELONGUS DONGUSSSS

I think I know why they didn't move forward on the other flank. I think they were saving them so they could reinforce the other flank, and not use their units protecting the archers outside. Though this wouldn't work as you were playing for time, and if they did that you could flank them. Since you were playing for time you probably wouldn't flank them though. That's my best guess though any thoughts?

As a veteran chess player. You are right. Playing the noob box is wrong. It is too much passive. As soon as I see they are too passive I know that you guys gonna win the fight. In chess, you gotta keep being active in offense. The best defense is offense. Just seeing the horses of your ally makes them stand on their ground and do nothing. That is a win. A passive unit is comparable to a dead unit. (Also applicable in chess) and yeah.. the MVP is your ally. He really got the patience. Just attacking early on makes the strategy of noob box become good for them. But he is waiting and keeping them in place. That is an active unit just by staying around and letting them know that you are a threat. Nice game tbh

In total Apollo and his teamate lost approximately 84% of their forces to their opppents 90% this proves phyrric victory

A verry good formula to give points, just maded to have the best teams in to the finals ! This formula should be yoused all around all tounaments, because youre team alreddy could make tactical choises by picking a faction before the match even begins...

I feel like if he committed more of his forces inside and plugging the tiny gap behind them from cav would have been the best bet. His perimeter outside the walls was too large and led him to be defeated in detail
