If you haven't already, check out their song...BREAKDOWN. Their most underrated song imo. It's so sultry, sexy and groovy it's crazy. All those bass and drum fills, killer chords, stellar vocals, that modulation for the outro and the horns. Some of their best playing to me. The maturity of this track, that deep groove, the subdivisions in the fills, the arrangement, I love it.
Work Shit Out is displaying more of their jazz chops to me. And there ain't nothing wrong with that. They're all cooking with gas on this track.

As great as that drum solo is by Aaron, Henrik just beats that bass into submission. Great jazzy piano by Jonah too. I hate that I’ve only known about DL for maybe the last year or so. It’s fun to see you rendered speechless by an artist. These guys are so talented and they look like they are having a blast. Suggest the song Breakdown by them next. It’s a ballad that really highlights Jonah’s abilities. Great song and reaction. 🔥

And by the way - VoicePlay released Hellfire (Hunchback of Notre Dame) and Geoff Castellucci released Jack's Lament (Nightmare before Christmas) and they are both exceptional. What can I say...

It is so much fun watching reactors discover new artists. Dirty Loops has an energy among the musicians that is uplifting even without the virtuosity of their musicianship. Where next with them? For more exploration of Jonah's vocals, perhaps "Breakdown," or even their cover, together with Cory Wong, of "Thriller." Want cuts where Henrik (bassist) is more featured? Try "World on Fire" or another one with Cory Wong, "Follow the Light." To taste Bass and Drums alone -- 'Bitten by the Kitten,' or 'Coffee Break', and with Jonah as well on 'Coffee Break's Over." For an American group with outstanding Jazz-Fusion chops check out Snarky Puppy. A good place to start would be "Lingus," as it features an outstanding keyboard solo and drumming by the amazing Larnell Lewis.

DL are the men. I love their stuff - and not just because I'm a bass player. You mentioned guitarists - well there is one you don't seem to have covered, who is widely thought to be among the best in the world, and happens to be from my home town. I spent a good chunk of the last 30 years watching this man evolve into the monster he now is.
