Delhi Air Pollution: With air quality in the National Capital Region slipping into hazardous levels, data from the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) showed that the Air Quality Index (AQI) on Friday continued to remain in the “severe” category. Doctors are saying wearing a cloth or a surgical mask may not be effective while N-95 masks can help reduce exposure to pollutants to an extent.

Pollution will remain like this for at least 20 years because India has not industrialised. 40% of Indians work in agriculture sector. As time goes on, more factory will be set and pollution will either remain same or increase. Only solution is masks and air purifiers.
