- Danny Dread without a doubt has one of the most extensive histories throughout the sound system arena. His gifted talents saw him pulling double duty on sound systems both in Kingston and St Thomas simultaneously. Danny Dread is described as 'the' man to guide any sound to stardom hence he was sought out by Junjo Lawes to spin on Volcano and later played on King Addies just to name two. His career has seen so many of the industry's giants including artistes, rise and fall.

Those were the Days of the mighty Jamaican Sound system, I can't forget the mighty Kiliman-Jaro
Jaro, and Stone -Love, Sterograph, Sir Coxsone downbeat, King Tubby's, Tom the great Sebastian
Duke Reid, whilst over in the UK they had Jah Shaka, Aba Shanti, Quaker City, Iration Steppas,
Fatman international, and many more sounds that I can't even remember but the Jamaican sound
systems were the Pioneers of spreading Reggae music inside Jamaica and internationally, these
Sounds were capable of playing bass frequencies at 30,000 watts or more, with similar wattage
at the mid-range and high frequencies,
Kool Runnings, ah now Danchall ah guh nice, Kool Runnings Di Rhythm ah drop like sugar n spice.
These are all interesting people , that I've listened to and have enjoyed. Bless up.

Danny with all respect, that sound was Jammy's hi-fi...not King Jammy's at that time Jammy's was a prentist engineer at King Tubby's..Him and Carly was friends so him put his name on that sound.

Danny Dread u did not play king Jammy 86,87,88.....Must be 1980 ,1981, 1982 ........
You very right bredren he played Prince Jammys Hi Fi up til 1982 when King Stur Gav and Aces International was running Jamaica Hot. Then 1983 he joined Volcano, Jaro Killed Volcano then by late 84 coming to 85 he joined King Stur Mars.

In those days Stone Love was a Party Sound playing regular Music like Reggae, Soul, Disco etc. Rub A Dub Sounds was the Mainstream Sounds in those days using live Artistes entertaining all Night till Dance done. I think 1987 was a big change in Dancehall, The Silver Hawk & Stone Love Era....
