Hi everyone, I just passed my G test today. So until August this year they are not taking you inside the streets or making you do 3-point turn, emergency stopping, parking, etc. My route was different too, we went 400 North and then 400 South and back to the center. They will make you change lanes twice while going and coming back. Make sure you accelerate to 90 before merging with the traffic on the highway. Also keep scanning the roads and pretend to be well aware of the surroundings while staying within your speed limit. It is a very easy test, be confident, keep your calm and you will pass for sure.
Terrific video. My son went for his G test today at the Barrie location. He passed. For anyone going for the G test at Barrie they currently don't go into the residential area to do 3-pt turn, parallel or emergency stop. I think this is because they are trying to clear some backlog of tests. All my son did was go to 400 Hwy south, do one lane change then got off 400 Hwy. Got back on 400 Hwy to go north, did one lane change then exited at Mapleview Dr. He then drove for a minute or two around Caplan and Veteran and came back to the test centre and that was it.
Just passed my G today. The route has been modified from what others are saying below, as the new innisfil beach rd off ramp is now open and there is no left turn on innisfil beach rd due to construction so you cannot get back onto 400N. The route remains much the same, you exit the parking lot turning left on bryne, and turn right on mapleview. Continue to enter 400s, and the examiner had me lane change WHEN IT IS SAFE 2x. You take the new off ramp onto innisfil beach rd, and turn right on innisfil beach rd. continue past sideroad 5, and continue following innisfil beach rd until you reach, county rd 27, and turn right. Follow county rd 27 until you hit salem rd, where you will make a right turn. Follow salem road, until you come to a stop sign, and make a left on veteran's dr. First right turn off veterans dr is commerce park dr, where you will follow, and then eventually turn left onto bryne dr. Once on bryne, you will then re-enter the drivetest lot, where the examiner told me to front park in any space i'd like. There was no residential, emergency stop, or parallel parking. They were very behind, we left the lot 1hour after my initial scheduled time. My examiner, i think Mandy was her name, was great, and we were basically just chatting most of the way. Remain calm, maintain the speed limits, follow all signs and you will be fine. Good luck to anyone doing this test soon
Just did my G today (March 21st, 2022). This video is accurate down to the temporary traffic light on 5th Sideroad. No residential roads. Just turn left on Mapleview from Veteran. Then turn right onto Reid Dr and continue onto Caplan Ave. Right turn onto Bryne Dr. to head back to drive test centre. Did not get tested on 3 point turn, roadside stop, parallel parking. Front in parking upon arrival at drive test centre, but I did see other test takers get asked to do a reverse parking followed by a front in parking. Good luck.
Good day. I did full G exam today December 16 2021 in Barrie and I proud to say I passed. This is the exact route that I was given. So I knew where to turn and spend up and slow down and do my 3 driving skills. This video helped alot. Again it's the exact same route. Thank you for your video. This video will help you alot. New G exam route: they take you to 400 south from drive test and then exited at Innisfil Beach Rd, turned back to 400 north and exited at mapleview drive W. Took a right turn at bryne drive after that and (takes you around the block) then left turn on caplan ave and then again left tun on veterans drive. When you come to mapleview again you have to take a left turn and the back to the drivetest center. The examiner was nice and friendly and the route was easy. Hope this helps.
@9:39 , did you head straight to the right lane upon making a left turn from the driving centre? Or did you use the center lane first when you made the left, and switched to the right lane at Bryne drive?

Agh! Just failed my G test in Barrie, mainly because the acceleration lane into the highway is short, and I didn't accelerate enough to match the 100 so watch out for that. Also, keep always your right when entering the roads, I also failed on that. As per the test itself, no 3 point turns, emergency stop, parallel parking, etc. We went south the 400, took the ramp into Innisfil Beach Rd. then back into the 400 up north, Mappleview Rd., then right in Bryne, left to Veterans, (other street can't remember the name), then Mappleview and back to the center in Bryne. I'll try again in a few weeks! good luck everyone. Oh! also note that if they take you north, there's a lot of construction going on so watch out for the construction signs and stick to the speed required. cheers.
Great Video! Had my full G test today and just watched this and your Etobicoke video and luckily passed. Although from my personal experience I would definitely recommend going through the route once before your test even if you are an expert driver, as I have been driving for 2 years before my G and could have certainly avoided a few minor hiccups have I traversed through the route before. But overall great tips and tricks, definitely helped me perform better and pass the test! :D

Hey guys, I completed my G test last week and my instructor was amazing! Thankfully I passed! My instructor told me to go on 400 North (the route I toke was similar to the one shown in a video called: G Road Test | Barrie Drive Test Centre | Ontario | Real Driving Test | Passed G). But make sure to practice both routes shown in these 2 videos bc some people toke the 400 south! Wish you guys the best and practice both areas beforehand to get to know the area! You will do great!
hey, thank you for the video. I recently passed my G test. I just wanted to update the route for the new people who are going to take the test after taking the 400 South Highway it goes on to take the 400 North Highway and then it will go back to the drive test center. The major speed limits are 50 and 60 and then 100 on the highway. There is no school zone so don’t worry about that.

Appreciate it! Just had my G test in Barrie and passed on first attempt! The construction zone (at 17:39) is still there, but the traffic light isn't, so I did ask my examiner before the test as there was no speed posted in that area, as to which speed I should go, and she said to go whatever the original speed is (which is 80km/h), aside from that, I got lucky and didn't have to do any parallel or reverse parking! Just did my G test today and passed Alhamdulillah . Route was different form the video , the instructor took me to the highway 3 times. No parallel parking, 3 point turn or road side stop. Just make sure to check your surrounding when driving .
Just passed my G test and the route was quite different due to the modified testing (no 3 point turns, parallel parking etc). After getting off the first exit from 400 S we made a left turn and entered 400 N and took the first exit off. On the highway I did about 5-6 lane changes, as they suggested make sure you take your time doing the lane changes, even if it’s waiting a couple extra seconds for the next lane to clear up. From here we went back to the Mapleview area and did some lane changes and left turns! It was very straightforward but make sure you maintain a high speed when merging! Another car in front of me (who was also doing the test) was at a pretty slow speed which put me at a disadvantage. However my tester noted this and understood I was just following traffic condition, good luck! This video was helpful!
@@johnl914 good luck on your test! Going back to the test centre was a slightly different route, instead of going straight towards the centre we turned right at the traffic light and looped around and did more lane changes.
There is a car pulled to the side of the road on the highway during this video, make sure if that happens to CHANGE LANES! Its not done or mentioned in this video and I didn’t do that during my test and failed based on that.
Great video. Although there is separate videos available for parking, it would be helpful if all instructions for completing each parking manoeuvre were explained as they were being shown on this video.
Just passed my G test in the first attempt in Oct 2022. Modified testing so no parallel parking or three stop turn. First on 400 S and then left and again back to 400 N and then MapleView area. Some in city driving for speed, lefts turns and blind spot checks. 6 times lane changes while on highways. The 400N merging lane has a wicked curve- also as there’s no speed for the merging road so you can start right at 90-100 km/hr right where you start. They don’t deduct marks if you go up to 110km/hr. Make sure to take your time before changing lanes. I also took the help from drivetest help gps routes one night before and on the day of my test, I went to one route twice, which takes you to both highways. I think it helped me a lot. The examiner told me that it was pleasure sharing a ride with me. Lol. so I think I did good overall. Best of luck, everyone!
I passed today! They are stilll not making you do the G2 stuff. So no roadside stops, 3 point turns, etc. Just make sure you are good at changing lanes on the highway like shown here.
@@ducpham9999 There are three lanes on the 400. You will only be in the right and middle lanes. I did my test at 11:49 am so it was not super busy. I did go to 103 when I moved lanes, but I dropped to 100 right away. Just accept that people will pass you lol. You will be asked to move back into the slow lane quickly though. So don't worry about that too much. I practiced the route twice, the on ramp is trickier than I expected cause the lane goes away quickly
I’m doing my road test next week, and I noticed that there are construction pylons lined up on 5th Sideroad after you get off the highway. Should I proceed with reduced speed even though no workers are around?
Any chance you can explain when to utilize the center lane in Bryne drive, when leaving making a left from drive test centre @9:39 ? Which is correct? To always stay in middle lane first, before changing to the right lane, or just wait until both ways are clear then make a turn on the right lane(without using middle lane).

@@mandeepbanwait21 hey, I was not taken to the residential area, I heard they won't be doing that up until March 31st, so end of this month. I don't remember the street but it was the same route as seen in this video after he gets out of the residential area.

And does the G test includes city parking yet? Because in other beaches they just take the driver to highway now and no parking test anymore. What about Barrie? hi i was practicing yesterday for my barrie g test and while im in the highway i saw a construction sign but there's no workers and also have no speed limit sign on it, so do i need to follow the regular 100kmph or do i need to reduce to 80kmph regardless if theres sign or w/o sign telling to slow down? please respond asap will appreciate it very much ❤️

After going 400 south , one has to return back by 400 north BUT merging passage is too short . Here what should be the strategy to merge?? Please guide.thanks .

Took my G test today. The comment about the new exam route was indeed correct, in case anyone needed an update: - left exiting drive test plaza - Right maple view - 400 south - Exit innisfil beach and make left - 400 North - Exit left maple view towards drive centre - Right Bryne st - Left on Caplan - Left on veterans - left maple view - right bryne st - right into drive test plaza and park how they tell you to I passed. But wanted to post incase anyone needed to relax a little. I practiced the route one time before my actual test. Be sure to sign into kiosk 30 min before and exaggerate the looking into all mirrors and blind spots. I got Jackie she was nice.

@@Sarawaqas2431 yeah it’s modified still no parking, just maybe at the end when we had to go back to the drive centre she said “park anywhere” but that was after everything. I’ve seen where certain examiners will say “reverse park or forward park there” to end the test off

@@ducpham9999 There are three lanes on the 400. You will only be in the right and middle lanes. I did my test at 11:49 am so it was not super busy. I did go to 103 when I moved lanes, but I dropped to 100 right away. Just accept that people will pass you lol. You will be asked to move back into the slow lane quickly though. So don't worry about that too much. I practiced the route twice, the on ramp is trickier than I expected cause the lane goes away quickly
I checked my mirrors a lot and blind spot each time I turned/switched lanes

I’m doing my road test next week, and I noticed that there are construction pylons lined up on 5th Sideroad after you get off the highway. Should I proceed with reduced speed even though no workers are around?
Any chance you can explain when to utilize the center lane in Bryne drive, when leaving making a left from drive test centre @9:39 ? Which is correct? To always stay in middle lane first, before changing to the right lane, or just wait until both ways are clear then make a turn on the right lane(without using middle lane).

@@mandeepbanwait21 hey, I was not taken to the residential area, I heard they won't be doing that up until March 31st, so end of this month. I don't remember the street but it was the same route as seen in this video after he gets out of the residential area.

Hi, thanks for this helpful video. I have a few question. Is it the only road test pass that we should practice or there is another one on CZcams that I did not see yet ? And does the G test includes city parking yet? Because in other beaches they just take the driver to highway now and no parking test anymore.

hi i was practicing yesterday for my barrie g test and while im in the highway i saw a construction sign but there's no workers and also have no speed limit sign on it, so do i need to follow the regular 100kmph or do i need to reduce to 80kmph regardless if theres sign or w/o sign telling to slow down? please respond asap will appreciate it very much ❤️

@@user-rx8tg6yz4t hello just to reply to what you asked before no they did not ask for 3 point turn or parallel parking. the exam was actually much easier than the one shown in this video but its still different. if you can good at this route you will pass good luck :)

Tengo mi G en Berri. Podrias elegir la opcion de tener subtitulos, ya que para mi es mas facil entender mi primer idioma. CZcams tiene la opcion de poner subtitulos pero en este video no esta habilitado. Gracias por tu video, de todas formas entiendo lo que quieres dar a conocer pero solamente que para los que tenemos un primer idioma es mas facil confirmarlo en subtitulos.

Took my G test today. The comment about the new exam route was indeed correct, in case anyone needed an update:
- left exiting drive test plaza
- Right maple view
- 400 south
- Exit innisfil beach and make left
- 400 North
- Exit left maple view towards drive centre
- Right Bryne st
- Left on Caplan
- Left on veterans
- left maple view
- right bryne st
- right into drive test plaza and park how they tell you to
I passed. But wanted to post incase anyone needed to relax a little. I practiced the route one time before my actual test. Be sure to sign into kiosk 30 min before and exaggerate the looking into all mirrors and blind spots. I got Jackie she was nice.

@@Sarawaqas2431 yeah it’s modified still no parking, just maybe at the end when we had to go back to the drive centre she said “park anywhere” but that was after everything. I’ve seen where certain examiners will say “reverse park or forward park there” to end the test off
@@kentdepalco6671 i live in Brampton and went to Barrie because it was easier. Just make sure u look at all the signs and exaggerate with your head turns and looking into mirrors. You got this!!!
