Recently I just bought 3rd gen fire stick & after all the installation I am facing many issues such as lagging freezing some times buttons stop working, after my complaint Amazon replace my fire stick but still these problems remain the same😑

I purchased the same one as yours, Virgil, and it instructed me to plug it into the HDM1 portal, which then replaced Verizon’s cable. Now I no longer have access to regular tv channels! I tried plugging the fire stick into HDM2 and got nothing! It only works via HDM1. My unsmart tv only has those two options. I would like to have the flexibility of switching between regular tv and the fire stick, so have you got any solutions?

There must be some way to use the firestick ONLY to turn the tv on, select HDMI, and turn it off without using the separate original tv remote first. My firestick will turn the tv on, and it goes to the 'select HDMI' screen. How do you get the firestick to switch/select the correct HDMI location (HDMI 2 in my case)? Like I said, I can turn the tv on with the firestick, but I can't used the firestick to switch over to the HDMI 'button'. I've tried pushing on the circular ring, but there is no response on the tv screen to move to the correct HDMI. I now have to use the original tv remote to turn on, and then switch to the HDMI location, and THEN I can use the firestick. How do you get the firestick to do EVERYTHING, without needing the original tv's remote? Thank you.

Unfortunately my tv is wall mounted and very difficult to connect anything from behind, so no luck for me. But I appreciate your video. Subscribing.
If mounted on wall u need to squeeze in there. Using the hdmi extender makes it easier to plug in too. Just need long arms and be able to feel around.

@@WorldofTech That and do you think that they might get away with using an adapter to fit a longer HDMI wire on, and plug just the Male end of the HDMI into the TV. I think the box will hang down; get better signal maybe vs. being behind the TV against the insulated wall.

This one in video is 1080p HD but has tv controls. U can also get the 4k model. For me… I’d rather have tv controls then 4k cause u can barely tell 4k from 1080p unless u really look closely at details.

Hmmm… look for remote setting on ur tv. U should see somewhere where u can select ur tv model/brand so remote will work for turning off/on and volume.

Yes u can use it but for fire stick to complete the setup u do need an Amazon account eventually to finish the setup.

I don't have the same screen. At top left it reads HDMI1 and bottom right it reads No signal, check external input or select another input using INPUT button. I just moved, all was working fine before and yes, tv is correctly connected to wifi
Make sure firstick plugged all the way in the TV… check hdmi 1, 2 3 etc.
@@WorldofTech It is plugged all the way in, I've tried the other port (HDMI2/MHL) as well. I just moved to a new place and now it's all screwed up. I think I have the same TV as yours, Sony Bravia
@@peggygriffiths2091 try to plug firetv stick in a different hdmi port. Also make sure usb power cable plugged into wall socket.
@@WorldofTech I did all that. I finally contacted Sony support after I was able to update the software. That's when the buffering icon was constant and a "do not unplg" symbol appeared. I unplugged the TV over night and next morning after I plugged everything back in, same icons, I couldn't even turn the TV off! Sony support said I needed a repair tech and gave me the number of a local business. Yesterday when I spoke to an Amazon cs rep, he also told me I needed a repair. After messing around with pugging/un plugging again, FINALLY I got a menu but the Sony tech had me do a factory reset so I'm now in the process of setting up my Amazon account and the Firestick for streaming since I don't have cable. Two supposed experts were both wrong. There's nothing wrong or corrupted with this $3500 tv thankfully. I'm now ready to watch a video on setting up my Firestick from factory reset status. Thanks for your videos and replies though, very much appreciated!

IDK was given a fire stick for an early Christmas present. Instructions were vague in the package. Found this video. Couldn't figure out how to input/work the remote to set up the password for my internet as I didn't have an amazon account. Had to find another video to figure that out. Then the password timed out...another nightmare. Called the 800 #. Couldn't understand the lady or person on the other end. So I hung up. Checked my email...another code showed up. Cheeses and Rice. I wonder if eBay has one of these? Tried to join Fox. Here we go again. Need to add email and PW. PW didn't take. Had to hit the back button. Then just hit the "undo" button. Shut it off. Sure wish I could speak to an English speaking person to walk me through this.

U can’t… but u can get an Android tv box. I have one that that works great and I paid like $30 for it on Amazon.
