Okay, People these are in fact Tree braids from back in the 80's. I use to do them. Somebody changed the name to Boho. This must be a young generation that don't know this. People keep changing the names and getting People confused. Box Braids were called Dookie Braids. Cornrows were called French Braids, Individuals are now called Micro's or small box braids. None of this is new.
I kind of agree with you. Nothing is new. I think the name depends on your region. I've been doing and wearing braids for over 30 years. Theses are not tree braids. Tree braids were cornrows that had pieces of hair left out. Not indivduals. These are called micros ( because of how skinny they were). Large Box braids were called dooky braids (later, poetic justice braide) Seneglese were called twist. I can go on and on. The techniques vary, but the styles aren't new. I wore "boho" in the 90's.
Theses are micro braids. Dukie braids were phat cornrows more people wore like 4/6 in their head , Dukie plaits were worn mostly short, Janet Jackson plaits were just large braids, then you had patra with the jumbo plaits
Let's define what a tree braid is. This is a protective hairstyle that combines braids and loose hair. The tree braid comes from CORNROWS!! The braided part is not yet known yet. Mimicking a tree, the cornrow be the trunk and the hair falling on your head are branches/leaves. The tree braid is made. ❤
@@PrettyGirl-fb4wmFurthermore tree braids are simply cornrows with hair coming out of them reminiscent of a tree. Hence the name “tree braids”. What we have here are micros or boho-micros.
