@sydnorth5868 Better how? Continuing with the status quo of low growth and high inflation? Trump isn't an ideal candidate but pre covid, the economy was far better than it is now. Granted there are many external factors but there's a reason Biden had to step aside and it wasn't just his lack of cognitive ability. Both options, Trump and Harris are absolutely bottom of the barrel.

He is still perhaps the best public speaker I have ever heard. Doesn't matter if he's reading it, the delivery is so forceful and honest that I had a tear in my eye. The man is brilliant. The pity is that those who might have been swayed by this masterful speech will probably never hear it. Can't see a MAGA channel repeating this tour de force.
So many of the same concerns he highlights are applicable here. Maybe not to the same degree, or needing the same approach but they are strikingly similar.
The man is an orator. Comparing and contrasting Trump with Obama is like throwing wood on a fire to see if it burns.
The Era of trump was the only one where America did not enter into war.

I'm a fairly cynical sort when it comes to watching politics but Obama is in his element here. There are many things a politician has to be able to do in a top job - speaking to various people, sections of society, parts of government or heads of state is a major part of it. I doubt if I've seen a modern Western politician who is better at giving an address than Obama.
