By the way. RB mentioned oxidation in shipping that might have affected the P pickup pot/pickup issue we encountered, BUT we totally neglected to consider the desiccant packs in the box which are designed to minimize moisture/oxidation on the strings and the bass.. Check the 5:13 mark. We'll get you updates as to what Harley Benton does to resolve the issue!!!
Sweeet! Man this was a lot fo fun to watch! We got a free Holiday concert. The guys came together nicely on this, and made some sweet music! I really enjoyed this. Keep on jammin, guys, and bringing us this sort of excellent content. Happy Thanksgiving to all !
You guys seem really cool and genuine. This was fun to watch and immensely helpful to me since I'm primarily a regular guitar player, but play a bit of bass when I record, so I've been looking for an affordable 5-String to mess around with. Thank you!
sweet playin guys! lets have those guys on more often yay yaa! im sure they had fun ribbin allen too haha!! sometimes the companies will offer a partial refund and let you keep the item....its happened to me before...and if its a qwik/cheap fix youre golden! have a great thanxgiving my friends!
Thanks very much for watching Birdman316, and I expect to receive a fully functional guitar when I purchased a fully functional guitar. It will be up to Thomman to somehow make that a reality. If they don't want the original guitar back then I will fix it, but I don't consider a partial refund as compensation. Allen has already paid with his life for his mistakes (God rest his soul). The least Thomman can do is send a replacement 😉👍!
Thanks very much for watching Mike and yes, I also was having wifi problems which when everything is done through Alexa is a major problem. But we worked it out.
Thanks very much for watching and for your kind question. Yes, Mike removed the plastic from the pickups during the video. It really doesn't matter though 😉👍!
Greetings to you ! I listened to your team with pleasure . It's just great to have such friends and make music together. How did this guitar story end ? To my regret , this store , especially recently , has been very little engaged in quality control of the goods being sent - it is often a lottery . I recently had to send back 2 guitars one by one , and each time they were worse than the previous one , and the guitars were clearly from those that other buyers had already returned to them . For the third time , the guitar seemed acceptable to me and I decided to bring it to mind on my own . I 'm just tired of carrying these huge return boxes to the post office for Tomann . Yes, they accept refunds and exchanges, but it's not always easy to do. I wanted to order the kind of bass you have on video . But after watching the video , I immediately imagined myself sadly wandering to the post office , carrying this huge box in an armful . Good luck to your team !
Thanks very much for watching Alexander and for your kind comments. Sadly, we've not purchased any more Harley Benton guitars because of the treatment we received with this one.
“ A mind like a steel trap” 😂😂 That’s great 🍻 .. Harley Benton just keeps on making cool affordable instruments! Here’s a question. Out of all the guitars that you (Leo&Dan) have , if you could only pick one , What is the one Favorite guitar that you’ll never part ways with?
Probably the Epiphone Sheraton that Leo gave me last Christmas. It has become my rehearsal guitar and is the closest thing I have to my Sire Larry Carlton signature 335. Beautiful sounding guitar, and the equal of any Gibson I've ever played.
Out of the box and straight to a gig? What bass ever? Do these guys not know what a Jazz bass is? Or the difference between a P and a J? Didn't do a very good job of explaining it. That's a P-Bass and traditionally did NOT have the Jazz Bass Bridge position pickup. Only the split P/U. It was split to reduce hum. The HARTKE amp with one 10" Aluminum cone is very bright. And,.. the strings? Maybe a set of D'Addarrios, Earnie Balls, or Rotosounds would make it fuller. The Steely Dan jam was FULL SHRED!!! Bang for the buck,.. the PJ-5 is off the chart. So is their Sting Ray MB-5.
Thanks very much for watching and for your kind question. Dan is using a Fender Mustang LT25, Mike McLean is using a Hartke bass amp (I don't know what model) 60 watts, and R.B. is using a Line 6 spider which is also doubling as a seat for him.
@@leodanryan966 Cool. Well seems to be a great chooice. I will do the "line 6" spider 20 with the bass. I guess that amplifier should do the work. What are your thoughts? Thans again,

I think you should try a Fender Mustang LT25 "Rumble " bass amp. It's a great amp, easier to use and program than the spider, and it's a Bass amp, the spider isn't. Just my opinion. Oh, I forgot to mention that it's also cheaper.
@@leodanryan966 Thanks for your soon reply. Well after some youtube's zapping, I just tell to my-self, the spider amp and the harley bass should be a great chooice. Just to homestudio tracks or something. Anyway thanks for your great advices, cheers

Dessicant packs remove moisture, but not oxygen.
hey man i went to the harley benton store thru reverb and found super sweet deals!
i saw a vid where they are shipping from usa too!
Always a pleasure to see Mike and RB with Dan. Awesome song and well played.💋
Yes it is. We had a blast!
Top tier stuff here. Great musicianship by one and all!
Thanks very much pardner for watching and commenting. We appreciate your time 😉👍!

Mayhem in the barn. A different kind of production. Too bad about the electrical problem. Can't be much probably the signal wire touching a ground

It's tricky to tell sometimes (I can't quite tell from the video) but are you 100% sure there is no plastic film covering those P pickups?

My PRS Custom 24SE Whale Blue 🐋. I purchased it in 2017 (I'm Leo).
I'll pose your question to Dan and hopefully he'll have an answer.
Probably the Epiphone Sheraton that Leo gave me last Christmas. It has become my rehearsal guitar and is the closest thing I have to my Sire Larry Carlton signature 335. Beautiful sounding guitar, and the equal of any Gibson I've ever played.
Great job, nice playing :))

Hi there,
Just a question. What amplifier is on the scene? Sounds awesome, would be nice to heard the complete picture.
Thank you
Of course Allen left an Allen wrench in there...
Why, yes he did the little jerk. The firing squad it is for Allen!

No, we don't know that. It's actually called a P/J Bass, but thanks very much for explaining it to us 😎👍!
