@@gerardoexber agreed! You can tell he’s very passionate and humbled at the role of Chris Redfield! Thanks again for your question submission, and apologies for butchering your username in the interview!
Several reactions from this interview….. “Something called Resident Evil” should be the title of this video lol. I loved that anecdote from him. He mentions the infamous boulder punch in RE5 as a low point and RE6 also as a low point. He is a gamer and fan for sure 🙌🏼 I love that he has a sense of humor and took the time to answer fan-submitted questions I appreciate his grounded approach to the character, his thoughts on Chris Redfield's identity, and how he would react in this situation. I love that he keeps in touch with the other cast members until today. Last thought: I have written several pieces about the indelible mark that the Resident Evil remake made on me. This title was the bridge between the old gaming world and the new world. Behind this were the Mario and Donkey Kongs and then the simple polygon animations of the N64/PS1 of our youth. This title showed us what was possible and what could be going forward. And while few games could ever top this title, I see this as the turning point in gaming history, setting up a force maker for the next twenty-plus years of innovations in visuals, storytelling, and game design.
Lol at the title idea! Yeah, you can tell Joe was passionate about Chris as a character, and his evolution of the years. I’m glad you really enjoyed the interview man! This was a blast to do!
He really is! It sounds like they've been going to more cons here and there, so definitely be on the lookout for them! Thanks for checking out the interview!!
Great in depth review. I've never heard of the keepers diary ill have to check it out. You can definitely tell his is passionate and grateful for the product he put out. Super cool to hear all of the other projects he did as well
Thank you man! Greatly appreciate you tuning into this interview! The RE Remake is such an awesome game, and one of the standouts for the GameCube library!
Great interview, thank you! One of the most interesting interview I've watched lately. Will there be any other guests? This is my first time on your channel
Glad you enjoyed it, and really appreciate you checking it out! I don’t have any other guests currently lined up, but may get more in the future if people on the channel are interested in more of these! Glad you came across the channel through this!
I didn't vibe with 5 either. But after the remake of 4 I do think Capcom will remake Resident Evil 5 someday. I think there's a lot of room for improvement if that comes to pass.
I always personally enjoyed RE5, even despite how much of a departure it was…and more so after the travesty of RE6 lol. Granted, Roid-Raged Chris was comical 😂. Joe does makes excellent points about the whole “superhero” dynamic portrayed that pulls you away from what the series established. The RE4 Remake was phenomenal, without question! An RE5 remake I’d think may be a chance for Capcom to build up their original horror ideas for the game that were scrapped.

@@GameCubeGalaxyYou know Capcom heard the criticisms when Resident Evil Village had Heisenberg call Chris a "boulder puncher" in his boss battle.
