For a temporary fix until I can get a replacement part I sealed the crack with heat shrink works fine for now.

Sherwin Williams paint store has a product called 0SPHO rust remover for that mower deck.
Turn it back to black metal over night.
Phosphoric acid.

I did something similar with POR15's kit, then top coated it with JD green, hoping it gives me another few years out of the deck that all rust out if you don't do something.

Did you know that to release the brake you have to press the pedal and then push down at he same time
