I am a full time nurse RN, in Florida. I work about 70 hours a week (trying to cut down) - and I also paint and draw. You are miles ahead of me, but I strive to get better daily. I think I will take your course when you release it. I also used to live in Prospect Park SW, Brooklyn. We miss it so much. I would love to hear more about your original journey, from the time you left your country to the time you met your husband and buying your house,, et al . I love hearing other peoples stories.

I would like to become a full time artist but I need to develop my skills further, however I will not be going to art school. How did you develop your artistic skills? When did you start? How long did it take for you to develop your skills to the level you felt was necessary to be a professional artist? After that, how did you begin to set up your main sources of income?
i am almost there. it takes hard study and the willingness to put in the time. that's all.
i also used to be stupid in the way i studied. i now study gesture and anatomy and learn in a very deliberate way.
i also look at better artists. an artist who is slightly above my own level as an artist is the best one to catch techniques from

Wow so amazing that You came up on my youtube feed! I am also Peruvian, living in NYC and an artist. I just left behind my full time Bartending job of 5 yrs after feeling ready during this quarantine shut down to finally pursue my art and printing business full on. I did the same by saving, working too much to finally cutting down shifts and freelancing more. Over the past yr I prepared my website and travel photography, got into a gallery and got a lot of projects done. Now I am building my online shop and looking to move into a bigger studio space. You are awesome!!

Thanks for this informative video. I myself have a CZcams channel for a while but I struggle to grow it. The first few years I was very unclear in my direction with videos and art but now I am finding clarity. The more art I create the clearer it gets. You have a fantastic fallowing and I know you are a wonderful artist and people would be naturally drawn to that but do you have any tips for artists growing on this platform. I ask this because social platforms is a massive way of building your tribe and community and that is what I am looking to create with my channel. I love this video and I cant wait for this art course. I am definitely up for splashing out on that and I am slow to do courses that are not accredited but your art and process is so inspiring I have to. Be well and thank you for helping all of us artists out there muddling threw in the dark.

I am currently working a FT and PT job..just saving. I am frugal in all aspects of my life, even art supplies, which is hard to do but I have a plan for exiting the normal 9-5, to work on art and live life my way. I am in my 40's, so don't ever give up. I will probably always work at least PT, because I also do animal rescue, and I need that solid income for them. I am consider eccentric now, because I am older! LOL I am definitely not the typical path that is expected but I am so much happier and my stress level is very low now. I am in control of me. Edited to add..I only work in the industries I want to work in- which are related to creativity and art- museums, libraries, etc. I do not make a lot of $$ but I need to work in a space that makes me happy, with is more valuable to me. Believe me, I worked in corporate healthcare and was miserable.
