- Shang-Chi's father, Xu Wenwu, arrives to destroy the gate and a battle ensues. Xu Wenwu and his son fight, which ends with Wenwu throwing Shang-Chi into the nearby lake. But soon, Shang-Chi is revived by the Great Protector and rises out of the water to continue the fight.
Wenwu and Shang-Chi fight once more, with Shang-Chi emerging victorious. The Dweller-in-Darkness escapes the weakened gate and attacks them. Wenwu saves Shang-Chi, bequeathing him the rings before the Dweller-in-Darkness kills him.

Wenwu’s mastery and control over the 10 rings is really amazing to see. Makes me remember that he’s been learning to master these rings for hundreds of years

If I have to choose what weapon I want to wield in the MCU is MOST DEFINETLY the Ten Rings. Whether or not its a divine weapon like Thors hammer and axe, I don't care IT'S SO DAMN COOL.

This movie was like the live-action anime we needed, but never expected it’d be from Marvel or the Shang-Chi character. If there’s ever another live-action DBZ movie in the works, I really hope Destin Daniel Cretton is brought on board as director. No wonder he was brought on to direct Avengers: Kang Dynasty🦸🏻♂️🦸🏽♀️💪🏽. A Shang-Chi anime on Disney+ would be dope too.
The first 20 minutes was a better Avatar: The Last Airbender movie than the one we got 12 years ago.

man of steel’s fights were quite dbz-like. Showed the impact and the destruction caused by two superhumans clashing very well
I love this fight scene between Shang-Chi and his father and how the stakes are high but on a deeper and more personal level given that Ying Li's death affected them both and drove them apart, this movie was truly amazing, special, and phenomenal! Aside from Spider-Man: No Way Home, Shang-Chi is definitely one of the best MCU movies to come out in Phase 4 and the most unique ever! I can definitely see why the director Destin Daniel Cretton has been tapped to direct Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
yea i like how they were fighting but still on the same side the entire time... they handled the relationship in a very classy way..
The sound designers and engineers who did the effects for the rings and the other weapons in this movie did INCREDIBLE work. This video without the BGM really highlights how insanely cool all the weapons and impacts sound.

I'm not a fan of Marvel movies in general, but I love martial arts and this was pleasant to watch. Very well choreographed fights in my opinion. I wouldn't mind if there's more of this.

Well, everyone knew he was in there already except for Shang's dad who refused to believe he was being fooled. But even he was told multiple times what would happen if he broke that gate open so when it finally happened it wasn't "omg a monster!" It was "oh crap... I messed up"

i didnt think much of this movie when it was releasing but after i watched it goddamn, i definitely would put it up there with the best MCU movies. Beautiful cinematics, good story and great fight scenes
Except they have done NOTHING with it since -_- So frustrating. This last phase they pumped out all these new heroes and they are never heard from again. Moon Knight and Shang Chi meet up? She Hulk and Ms Marvel team up? Where's Kate Bishop? Eternals are just deleted as well?
The earliest movies had Coulson and shield as a unifier between movies and quickly started bringing things together. It's super dumb that Shang Chi hasn't turned up in anything else yet
@@CappyK Way more characters now than before. They're definitely saving them until the next Avengers movie. Moon Knight came out just last year. By contrast, The Incredible Hulk was released in 2008, and we didn't see him again until 2012. Not to mention that there were two Hollywood strikes this year that delayed future projects.

i like this so much. this is the first time marvel show a character who have full control on his weapon. the creativity and the amount of understanding the user must have to make all the possible move. wenwu shouldn't die man. too good to be lost

Crazy how fast Wenwu was to react and save his son once the beast was released, even after they were just fighting. He was a misguided soul, but he truly loved his son and wife, and was his source to being a better man..

Eu assisti esse filme do shang chi no ano passado, em casa mesmo por um aplicativo e eu simplesmente amei esse filme,achei todas as cenas de luta fantásticas e essa luta entre o shang chi e o pai dele pra mim foi bem tensa pelo simples fato de serem pai e filho lutando e eu me surpreendi com a atuação desse ator do shang chi, agora eu tô doida pra ver mais dele no universo Marvel,de preferência em um filme dos vingadores e eu também tô curiosa pra saber mais sobre esses 10 anéis dele.

Excellent movie with universal themes on the breakdown of family communication under stress.
These rings remind me of Ivy Valentine's snake sword.
