You forget one step. if you have air suspension, you must put the car in garage mode. or at least set the setting in the mmi so that the air suspension is locked
I had to replace the rotors and pads on my 2018 3.0t A6 Quattro premium plus at 15K miles at the dealership, warped and deeply grooved rotors. They were not covered under warranty ($1500.00). I started feeling brakes and steering shaking at 40K, I'm about to hit 45K and will be replacing rotors and pads with Zimmerman rotors and Akebono ceramic pads to see how they hold up. I mainly do all the highway driving, 80-85 mph and the wife uses the car in town, neither of us drives aggressively and i mainly drive my GMC pick up.
A hell of a good job as usual Jarrad, Over at the Ross-Tech VCDS forum we get alot of 2.0 engine questions (oil consumption and timing chains) and I usually send them over to you and advise them to watch all of your engine videos. Merry Christmas.
I put oem pads on my 13 q5 3 years ago. Didnt come with a wear sensor. 75 bux for that. I reused the old one. So far the original rotors are still good
So am I crazy for putting some anti-seize on the hub and contact surface for the rim and the rotor and make removing these a snap? Also, the difference in brake caliper build quality between my Jetta & Passat and this Audi A6 is insane.
How many miles did this 2017 A7 have on it? Burnt through pads already on a 2017 must have been really enjoying the heck out of it! The Akebonos will likely last the remainder of that cars life span. I have 70k miles on my Akebono ceramic pads and they still look like new thickness.

Do the brake hose stress test.
That would be interesting.

Well done on this work and also on the video. Thank you! Keep it up!
@NaptownTuner yes please do a video how much weight that hose can handle holding up the whole caliper while hanging down
Should be interesting to see
Get a go pro chest mount it will save you time doing the job and editing
If you just open the brake fluid reservoir cap wouldnt you avoid having to bleed the system?
Great video. Can you do a video on where to put the jack stands on an Audi Q7 if you raise using the jack pad? Can’t find that info anywhere.
This doesn't apply to 2012-2015 Audi A7 in case you're wondering
@NaptownTuner.... Awesome tutorial! 🙏🤲

@Nap, what is your opinion on bedding process? Manufacturers will add directions for the process with the box.
I’m in the Northwest. The deicer just wrecks aluminum. Better than salt I guess.

Nice
Buddy didn't say not one tool size..some of y'all should just leave the videos alone
where do you put the jack stand if you need to lift all 4 corners?
I've never worked on an Audi before, so far I'm just wondering where the studs are lol
Isn't is advised to swap rotors every 2nd time you renew the pads?
For the love of god get yourself a tripod for the camera!
Does anyone grind rotors anymore? I can’t find a single machine shop in my area.
No point. The prices nowadays for new rotors are so affordable it is a no brainer.
Plus most car manufacturers DO NOT recommend re-surfacing rotors
