I finally figured out something.
Classic Sonic is the one who represents the younger audience while Modern Sonic represents the teenager, more adult audience. They literally show how the younger and older fans act to Green Hill Zone.

"Classic sonic" i just call him sonic was designed to be cool for teenagers. Modern sonic is just a design change he looked cool in the dreamcast games but they kept taking it too far. They kept making his stomach too long and flat. They made his head weird and his spikes too long almost looking like weird blue hair. Hes supposed to be round like pac man and look like a pinball thats why hes shiny people say it makes him look like plastic but hes meant to look reflective like a pinball.

Forget 1-1, Mario rehashes entire world themes repeatedly. It's not fair people rag on Sonic for using Green Hill zone quite a few times, and Mario gets away with the same World Themes every game for about 6 games now. NSMB, SMB Wii, NSMB2, SM3DW, NSMBU, NSLuigiU. Am I forgetting any? And that's only the main line games...

That's a really important message. Wow. I can respect the Green Hill in Mania (at least they took the old and fashioned some new out of it and made it feel like a breath of fresh air from what we usually get), but Forces is just inexcusable. It felt forced in and even though they added sand and plot relevance, they seriously could've chosen ANY other location on South Island and it would've made more sense.

I'm with Classic Sonic. I'm always happy to see Green Hill Zone return in a new Sonic game. (mainly because Sonic 1 was my very first Sonic game) Though ironically, I'm not that excited about Green Hill Zone being in Sonic Forces because it doesn't have a new remix of that iconic music I know and love so much.

It's not as much criticism (or less noticable) than what Sonic gets. In fact, people put up with Mario's nostalgia usage (Along with Zelda, Pokemon, just anything Nintendo really) a lot more than they would with a Sonic game for some weird reason. Probably since its now the cool thing to hate Sonic now, or that it sells well.

I wish I could make this sound like I was an original fan but I never got the chance to place Sonic 3 & Knuckles or the Adventure series so...
Honestly sick of Green Hill Zone. What also helps with that is all the stages that are EXACTLY like Green Hill. Stages like Windy Hill, Splash Hill, Seaside Hill, and Sunset Hill for example could've just been called Green Hill and no one would've questioned them at all. Also just another point on how the Sonic series is unoriginal and relies on nostalgia.

I kinda understand what Modern Sonic is saying, I had more nostalgic feeling watching the cast of Beast Wars(Megatron excluded) from War for Cybertron: Kingdom than most versions of Transformers that tries to focus G1 nearly all the time.
Yeah, we had Primal and Cheetor in Prime Wars trilogy and Cyberverse but they were heavily re-imagine as shrine guardians and not their usual characters.

I did and came to the conclusion that the Mario 3 lay out get only overused by the New super Mario Bros series with get ever since the Wii titel cretinism for doing so to no end and the big main games did for the most part there own thing (just look at odyssey).
While Green hill and its clones get with little or non originality spammed in both Side and main games ever since sonic 4.
8 isn't actually that bad.

I mean in makes sense since the last real appearence of classic sonic was in sonic & knuckles (by classic I mean sprite sonic) and since sonic mania came out the last time sonic has been in green hill zone was 25 YEARS AGO.(or how much time passed since 1994 to 2019 for sonic timeline)

Very well said. SEGA is relying too much on nostalgia to sell their Sonic games. I like classic Sonic, but Forces is supposed to be a modern Sonic game. Keep things moving forward and leave classic Sonic in the past where he belongs.
