Divine performance. Excellent Galuppi: Concerto in C minor for Harpsichord, Strings & B.c - each note is in its "natural" place (!); as for example - Galuppi Dixit Dominus in G minor, Galuppi Lauda Jerusalem...

Uno dei più grandi tastieristi di tutti i tempi, che si inserisce perfettamente nel solco tracciato dal divino Domenico Scarlatti, ci presenta questo fantasmagorico concerto. Galuppi è uno dei massimi rappresentanti della straordinaria scuola musicale veneta. Dotato di un talento prodigioso fu anche un superbo operista, famosissimo per l'incredibile abilità nel comporre e sviluppare difficilissimi contrappunti, che si possono ammirare nella sua produzione sacra.

Excellent performance of a spectacular concerto, amazing forerunner of the Sturm und Drang period. However, a larger ensemble - rather than merely one instrument per part - would not have done any harm, in my opinion... I tend not to exceedingly like the extreme minimalism of some current performances
