Kamilah King i started at 4pm and stopped at 1:12am. Started back at 10am and finished around 1:15pm. The first day i was doing things in between so i would take out about 1.5 hours out of the total time. So about 11hrs.

This hair would be PERFECT for me! I just did box braids for the first time a couple weeks ago. I used the knotless crochet method and my main problem was some of the braids being different sizes. I've wanted to braid my own hair for years and seeing it done with a crochet needle finally made me feel confident enough to give it a try. Great video!

I usually give hair a vinegar bath and let dry before using it...regular white distilled vinegar.

Dipping the braids help with reducing stiffness and improving flexibility of the braids.
This is awesome - I just got my knotless from a local stylist and she did a beautiful job but I could not do it every month to keep up with it. Love this for when the budget doesn’t allow for it and that looked so easy with a beautiful result.

I finally tried the Box Braids with the crochet method using the Mane Concept Afri Naptural hair. My hair style came out great, but it takes longer, however it's worth it. Don't have to worry about losing the braids either. Thank you for all of the tips, it is very helpful. PS: I hope that you and your family are safe from the snow storm that hit Texas.
This Was Great!!! I think it took longer to part my own hair than it did to add the braiding hair in! The pre-seperation made this soooo simple, I chose to use 4 pieces per braid :0) I would up ordering it through one of your links. You did that girl, thank you so much, I Love It!!!
I did the crochet big braids and it looks great it was a learning curve but by the end, it was a breeze thank you so much for the tutorial I would have never tried it before it.

When you mentioned that the base of your hair should be slightly loose because it will get tighter as you add more hair, it was honestly a revelation for me 😂 I always thought that if the hair was loose, the style wouldn’t look good. But I’m still learning (beginner braider)!

I did a big chop in March before the shutdown, because I wanted to start on my natural journey. I found you channel earlier this month and this by far is my favorite style you did. So I bought the same hair to try my first box braid install EVER! Since this was my first time, this took a while to just part my hair. I parted it and put my hair in rubber-bands first because my hair is just short of 3 inches. They didn't turn out too bad. I used 3 strands for each braid but next time I will use 5 because my hair is so thick. I don't know how to upload the pictures to show you, but thank you for demonstrating this style.

This content is great! One thing I would recommend is washing the hair prior to the install. I recommend using apple cider vinegar and a clarifying shampoo.🙂
