I just took delivery of a 2019 XSR900. Dealer had one left and it was marked $1500 off. Got way more bike and for less money than the 700. Seems you can find deals on the 900 more easily, at least in my area. Out the door paid less than sticker price... Can't beat that.
You put a great case for each but, with these two, 3 aces two any day of the week! If you're going to mention the tyres then perhaps research what they actually are? There are many models in the Battlax range, so which ones are they? The 700 has Pirellis that have an old 70's style Phantom tread.
For a little bit, I have a 2018 when I take girls on it they're usually okay for about an hour. You don't want to take them too far on this bike though
