Abhishek Raghuram’s captures the emotions of this kriti with dramatic intensity. With vivid delivery of phrases woven in Raag Sahana, he activates the hidden valour of this song that celebrates the departure of human soul with grace, dignity and joy. He doles out gentle and astounding niravals (tonal improvisations) creating delectable moments in the composition. Set to Adi talam in the ‘renda kalai’ mode (each beat played twice throughout the cycle), the slowness of this vilambha kala kriti captures deep emotions associated with the Hindu philosophy of the oneness of life and death.

I think this is my least favorite performance by Abhishek! He did many good concerts but I felt so disconnected with this performance,
Which ruined my experience of my favourite krithi and raga! There is no enough sahana that came out! And even the pronounciation of sahityam is not clear! He sang this krithi as a lazy kid
