- Macroalgae Ecosystem Bowl Planted Saltwater Pico (No Filter, No Ferts, No Water Change, No Leopards)
In this video I make a pico saltwater planted bowl using macroalgae and live rock. I using black aquarium sand, live rock pieces from my existing systems and macroalgae I already have. I won't add any fish etc into this bowl as it it too small, however invertebrates such as copepods and a couple of dove snails will help to keep it clean. I also will not be doing water changes, adding fertilisers or using a filter and heater. There are absolutly no leopards in this aquarium as well which is a major breakthrough in fish keeping.

Tweezers montage made it for me. Love your dry humor.

@@EverydayAquarist haha... By the way I'm not into dramatic shots or backing music either. I mean I'm not against it either. I think there's a place and an appetite for all kinds of videos and production methods. I just like the focus to be all about the hobby. That's one of the things I like about your channel. Just thought I'd mention it.
Cool setup! Cool style of video
Thank you
Really looking forward to the update on this. I have an identical bowl at home and have been pondering what to do with it!
Coming soon
@@EverydayAquarist Still coming soon?
"Tweezer Montage" F**k yeah 🤣🤣🤣 loved that bit!
cool little project, Doves are my favourite got some from a friend and they breed away, them and Stomatellas are great self sustaining clean up crew saves money for other goodies 😅 and hermits seem to leave them alone too🤞
Thank you. Hopefully should work out. Haven't really looked at it since I set it up 🤣
Nice!
I use the same lid on my 150g
Thanks. It works great for a lid
super cool
Thanks
I've macroalgae tank (square) not bowl like this, maybe next i can make this stuff too 👍 🇲🇨
Aww, I wanted more leopards 🐆
Maybe next time. What aquarium size do I need for a leopards??
✌✌
Nice you could do a barnacle blenny !
Maybe something tiny
Nice but don't want the floor under it moving to much!
Nice!
I love your vídeos, Man. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Sorry for my ignorance, but what is Leopard?
Haha sorry for the miss understanding. I'm just having a joke. Thanks for watching me
We need an update 🪸
If your not using coral sand how is the ph still 8.3???
It probably won't stay that hight but also macroalgae tend to increase pH around them as they photosynthesise so I Imagine it will be OK. Also macroalgae aren't as sensitive to lower pH afaik
Nice idea but macro algae needs flow and nutrients and Iron to thrive or Ty survive at least. In my opinion this micro reef/macro algae tank they are a waste of time long term because you can’t provide the right environment and conditions for the animals due to lack of space. But to you 🤞
We will see what happens
Is this still alive frend?
Very much
@@EverydayAquarist plees do a video soon 🥰🐶
