A fun project! As kids we'd do that with snowball blooms with our grandmother.
I do this with my preschool kids every year. Liquid food coloring works best; along with smaller white flowers such as carnations and Queen Anne’s lace. Your garden looks great!

Awe! That was me last summer. I had major surgery, a pulmonary embolism and deep vain thrombosis… this summer I am a whole new person… I hope the same for your next summer and many many more down the line!

It takes a few days for the flowers to absorb the colors. They don’t drink that quickly. Don’t give up. I do that all the time.

We did this once with queen annes lace. We carefully split the stem and put each side in a different color glass..made the flower 1/2 one color, 1/2 the othe color! Sunflower stems might be easier.
Casey, can you share the brand of verbena bonariensis seeds you use? I ordered some but my product is some type of tall verbena, but is very weak and floppy, not like what your growing.

I’m very OCD and love a pretty garden. How do you keeep this looking so pretty I do see weeds but it’s beautiful with your flowers and vines . Mine would look like an Amazon jungle??
I love this garden!! I’m working on setting up something similar this spring. How do you get water out there? I’m trying to figure out a watering solution bc my garden would be pretty far from a water source.
