    If I were in the states I would invite u to detect our 130 acres along a large river where many large ships ventured n rumors of treasures burried n indians lived along this river. I live in Philippines now n will detecting our property here once the lockdown is over. Watching u has inspired me to get my detector working again. God bless

    That's really scary picking up bombs. I would imagine that could happen quite a bit when you're in areas where wars were fought.
    I think you'll find 60 Rings this time, you found most of them last time.

    That green triangle shaped old Relic you found is just the half of a trunk latch

    At 9:33 I think its a window catch. I've seen identical ones on a lot of larger boats and yachts. The other half is a spring loaded 'arm' that slides over this piece and pops down. I think you'll find 141 rings this year. Calculated by the moon phases triangulated with the number of lunar eclipses and the number of visible comets in the sky since 1942. Or it's just a guess. I'm not too sure... Cheers mate!

    I thought at first glance that the long metal thing was a mortar bomb, but as it has four flats on the sides - - it's probably a finial from a gate-post or similar. The brass hook thing looks like the hook you'd hang a boat or ship's name-plate on.

    i agree it looks like a mortar. those WW2 arms might be old, but never trust them to be safe! glad you found it and got it out of there so no kids would end up finding it. sadly there's still thousands of those and all kinds of other munitions and bombs out there, in the ground and in the waters.

    the 'bomb' looks to be square sectioned rather than round which precludes it from being a bomb which are always round for aerodynamics. Looks like the tooth off a Digger bucket or similar, perhaps used as an anchor on a kayak or small inflatable. Metal relic was the lower half of a case lock.

    Hi Michael, I doubt that the item you found is any type of explosive based upon its square profile shape. Artillery Shells, Mortar Bombs, Rifle Grenades and Rockets all have rounded or cylindrical shaped bodies, not square. Also the metal use in them does not produce that type of large chunky rust. I'd say what you have found is either the top of an iron fence post or decorative fitting, or possibly the metal tip end of a large crossbow bolt fired by the huge crossbows used in Europe until the advent of gunpowder using weapons ~ 1650/1700.

    9:40 Its the bottom half of a catch used to close a case or light-duty chest. The upper half would have a wire bale connected to thumb lever

    Do you clean the coins you find? I stated using my husbands tumbler that he bought for brass tumbling for reloading bullets. Works well on the crusty coins.

      Michael Oliver there are tiny stainless steel needles and I use dishwashing liquid with them. Today hunt, I found 12 coins on the local beach in south Texas. Was fun sunrise hunt

    It could be a mortar bomb without the fins but it also could be something as simple as a large drill bit. A mortar bomb would have a detachable fuse on the nose with holes for a safety pin.

    Most, if not all bombs and mortars are circular in cross section. That looks like three flat side, ie cast iron decoration from a fence etc. Hit it with a hammer to be sure 😳

    It looks like a trunk hasp of some type. Makes you wonder where the rest of the trunk is.
