As an older brother I know exactly what Nerissa means, my younger sister is already old enough to drink but to me she is still that frail looking 8 year old that clings to me whenever she did something wrong and is too scared to admit it.
To many it may seem that I am a siscon, but that is not the case, I love my sister but I am not gonna restrict her if she wants to do something, I am just here to make sure she doesn’t go the wrong path, because as siblings we are supposed to be there to look out for each other.

Have several younger siblings as the second oldest. I do not feel the way she’s describing at all, and I’ve always been the older brother that interacted with my youngest siblings the most. Nerissa is indeed a brocon.
I once was like that with my baby siblings [eldest of 5; still hate it today], but... they just grow up so fast and you can't do much for them when they're stuck in that rebellious phase [going on a decade for them now, smh...] . The only time me and the older mid brothers ever happen to rechannel that energy of 'protect the babys' is when there are signs of physical abuse with w/e our kid siblings are seeing & what we've seen ourselves when they bring over their latest fling. Other than that, it's FFA, F.A.F.O. , and "We told you so, but Nooo..."
