    • @JobeshMani
      @JobeshMani  Před 3 lety +10

      Malayalees tend to learn the languages very fast, may be coz of this they speak other language when they are in other state.
      Tamil is not just a language, it is a strong culture too. Most of the South Indian languages originated from Tamil. All the people have a special love for their mother tongue, but Tamil people have an extra percentage of love toward their mother tongue, Tamil.

    • @JobeshMani
      @JobeshMani  Před 3 lety +9

      @Mr. L Good observation. Malllus tend to learn other languages easily, this is coz Malayalam is a tough language and another things is most of the Keralites are known for going outside Kerala or even country for a better job and life. For that reason also people tend to learn other languages and due to that most of the Keralites are used to with watching movies from other languages. And Tamil is very much close to all Mallus😊😊

    Malayalam as a formal language is not even 500 years old. The original language of Kerala was classical Tamil. The original people of the Kerala region are Thiyyar, Kurumbar, Irular, Paraiyar, Pulayar, Cholanaicker, Nadar, Ezhavar, etc, etc.
    Malayalam language of today is the result of Sanskrit getting mixed with classical Tamil. Today's modern day Tamil has influences due to the Vijayanagar infiltration of the 16th century. Communities like Naidu, Nayakkar, Reddiar, Chettiar and such influenced local Tamil to what it sounds like today. Still in local Malayalam, we are using ancient Tamil words not commonly used in today's Tamil.

      That's not fully true... Vasco Da Gama landed on Calicut, Kerala. Kochi and Pondicherry were colonial hubs.. The present development, what we see is because of the literacy rate, quality of leadership, attitude of people etc.
      For example if we take Kerala, the development is not limited to big cities. Here the roads and basic facilities are spread across the state. Whereas in Tamilnadu, it is an education hub with maximum colleges and education institutions. I don't think I need to explain about Karantaka, AP and Telangana. These states are known for IT hubs and various other attributes. Lots of visionary leaders and their efforts over a period of time resulted in what we see in South today

      Modern Tamil culture and the language took heavy influence due to the Vijayanagar Empire expanding south - that is the main reason for Telugu/Kannada influence. Still to this day, many aspects of Kerala culture are still connected to Tamil Nadu, especially southern districts of TN.
      Tamil culture is interwoven by their faith (mainly hinduism); according to Tamil tradition, the hindu deity "Murugan" is identified as "Tamil Kadavul" and is interwoven with Tamil identity. There is no other state OUTSIDE of Tamil Nadu that is similarly devoted to Murugan other than Kerala itself. Go to the Pazhani temple, most of the signs are written in both Tamil and Malayalam. Additionally, Kerala has two temples modeled after the Pazhani Dhandayuthapani temple: Mel Pazhani Murugan Kovil in Kozhikode and Chocherikkunnu Murugan Kovil in Thrissur district. Also, no other language refers to Subramanya as "Murugan" except for Tamil Nadu and Kerala. And even quite a few Malayalees name their sons as "Murugan". Additionally, there are so many "Mariamman/Mutharamman" temples in Kerala and the term "amman" is still used as well as "kovil". Also, there numerous sudalaimadasamy temples in Kerala, as well as quite a few karuppusamy temples in Kerala; you won't find any of this in Karnataka and Andhra. In fact, many kaaval deivams popular in Tamil Nadu like Ayyanar, karuppusamy, bhattavarayan (muthupattan), pavadarayan, sudalaiamadan, esakkiamman and the latter are either originating in Kerala or connected to Kerala. Kerala has remnants of pre-Vijayanagar Sangam Tamil culture.

    We were taught Kerala was Chera Nadu ruled by the King Peruncheral Irumporai. I believe kera derived from Chera. I don't know if keralians ever know about the Three great kings of the South. I appreciate this video and it's purpose. But I should say that history has been manipulated these days. Corrupt politics and education system are driving us on their own path with a horse tack hinding the truth around.

      @JobeshMani  Před 4 lety +3

      Kera is not from Chera.. Kera is from Coconut tree.. In Malayalam, coconut tree is Kera Vriksham.. Yeah Cheras and Cholas had earlier ruled Kerala. That time there is no name called Kerala. It was Cheranaadu and before that it was Malanadu which means Place with Mountains. Malanadu and Malayalam is having a connection as per this.

And every where the history is been manipulated and through our education system many wrong stories have been taught and made us believe as truth. Politics, religion, race etc played a vital role in manipulating the truth. Even in our text books, the South indian dynasties has been explained in one or two paragraphs, where as we studied World war 1 & 2, American and French Revolution, Mugal, Aryan history as a major topics which covers all our history books. No one is least bothered to study about our great dynasties like Chera, Chola, Pandyas and Pallavas. We gave less records and proofs for their existence or these records are given lesser preference by the respective people. Its all part and parcel of our political system from the right begining. No use of talking about them.

    • @JobeshMani
      @JobeshMani  Před 3 lety +1

      @@prasanthop1 I am not sure on this. Chera dynasty factor is definitely having an impact on the naming of our land and language... No doubt in this.. But I cant accept King Ashok's theory. Coz we South Indians are Dravidian origin and most of the Aryan influenced books or writings wont give right information about Southern dynasties.
      A simple example for this is the history text book what we studied and our kids study ll have a major portion covering the kings and dynasties which are primarily based on North India, Sanskrit etc. About the dynasties like Chera, Chola and Pandyas, they ll have a simple paragraph. Most of the times even in exam, there wont be any questions asked on Southern dynasties. This is a clear proof for the avoidance.
