If I had to guess I'm going to say it was the debris getting into the bearing causing the bearing to go bad so he needed a new bearing and didn't hurt that he cleaned the motor out
Oh my god I've just Googled this problem because I have two circular saws in the back brushless Makita exact same saw with the exact same problem where is the full video for this and what was the problem
I did the same with my saw just got it cleaned up good and my port where d battery was was heatead and burnt a little clean that up too and works like new ...really strange
I have exactly same problem. Was bearing bad? At least I know where to look now. Was thinking problem is electric. And is there longer video? Thanks anyway! These videos are golden! Just fixxed my makita cordless 1.2mm nail gun with your help :)
Don't cut cement/fibre boards with brushless saws, it somehow messes with the motor. Same saw, a couple of months old, first I saw sparks on the body before the control unit went dead. Changed the stator and control unit because they made them together and it still doesn't want to turn, sometimes it even turns backwards.
if its running backwards, its been wiring in wrong. As for cement and fiber board, i couldnt agree more. Kills saws, grinders and multi tool motor. if you have to use them also buy a compressor to blow them out and only buy brushless tools. they seem to endure it better.
Mmmmm on our current site we were working with some of those boards and now my saw doesn’t work when it’s raining outside. Maybe there is a connection I’m not sure . But all my others coworkers Makita saw runs fine in the rain
Repairs are cool and I understand its probably saving a good chunk of money. But if my cordless saw gives up I need a saw ASAP so I will buy a new one just to continue. That hundred bucks I save will otherwise be lost in work I can't do. I understand with something like a impact driver but I don't understand the saw.
Hey Dean. May not get reply however I've had a makita dtd171z 2yrs old was working fine then went to use again a couple minutes later and no power through drill at all not even light function. Any ideas on what could be the issue, thanks anyway
Computers = Turn it off and then turn it back on again.
Tools = Take it a part and put it back together again.

Well done!
I tried cleaning and still no good. Any advice?

So was the problem the bearing or was it debris on the circuit board
Best guess... the debris interfering with the motor.

Stator unit problem . If you clean it and still not working you must change the stator unit
So only new bearings was the fix or..
Why is the blade the wrong way around?
So the carbide teeth don't unwind in storage
@@stauker.1960 didn't know, thanks
So was it the bearing or was it the debris on the circuit board
Maybe it's for cutting rigid insulation 🤔

Was the issue just debris ??
Or bearing?
Stator Unit is very expensive to replace nearly cheaper to purchase a new saw😅
does motor is faulty
The blade?? Its looks like its in the wrong way
It seems a drywall saw
What's the point of this video, if you don't show or tell whats the problem?
I can see your problem there. You've been cutting plasterboard with a bloody wood saw.
The teeth of the blade.... its in the wrong way ....
No funciono
