Yup. Has the same LSJ 2.0 motor that was in the early Cobalt SS's that were supercharged.
My ion redline broke down about an hour and a half ago as of writing this... blew the transmission. Was a really fun car while it lasted. They are only a little over 2k pounds so its really quick, even stock.

The great thing about the brz/86 is the cheap price. It’s an entry level sports coupe most can afford and have fun in. If they threw in a turbo/boosted the power, it would push the car out of its current role that it shares with the miata, and more into BMW 2 series territory, and then people would complain about the price.

MN guy here. Our car scene is HUGE up here man. Whether up in Twin Cities or Metro area like Apple Valley/burnsville/Lakeville area. Or don't get me started with Rochester, MN. Some of the nicest tuned cars I have ever seen in my life come from the Rochester. Me I have a Cobalt SS turbo with built motor

BRZ's do need to be boosted, but i feel as though Subaru's outlook on boosting it would be that it would take away from the sales of the WRX/STI and would also increase the price of the car therefore possibly losing their place as one of the cheapest "sport" looking cars on the market. a 3.6 in them would be pretty sick too though i agree 😎

Hi! I own the civic hatch. It makes around 250whp, from the factory is makes 270 to the crank. I’ve debated slapping a turbo on it, but ultimately I decided I want to cam it and do a full NA build. Possibly go supercharger, no turbskis

The blue Saturn Ion Redline came stock with a supercharged 2.0L Ecotec motor. They often hit a tick over 200 whp stone stock. Mine has a mild build and was dyno’d at 265 whp on 93 octane gasoline. Big turbo builds can make well over 500 whp. I’ve seen up to 700 whp.
They are full of potential.
Finally my build gets in there the 1923 t bucket it has neck braking torque also I meant no power steering or power breaks

The Ion Redline comes stock supercharged with a m62. A s257 turbo makes 500whp on stock internals. Gm made this in 04, and then the same platform powers the cobalt ss supercharged

I have a '00 Subaru Forester that I'm currently swapping a non turbo H6 from the Subaru SVX (THANKS stimulous check & blown headgasket in the old 2.5Ltr H4. It will be followed up with a full STi Forester aero kit including the slim roof rails ;) Then, ill be building an 3.3Ltr stroked out like a geriatric patient to 3.4/3.5Ltr with either twin snails independently controlled by seperate ECU's as two 3-cylinder turbo engines or in tandem like a beast lol. Also, just want to say if you live in or near IN, KY & TN its an absolute no brainer to use Kentucky Clutch! Rebuilt 6 puck sprung (i have an unsprung 6 puck thanks to my DSM days and my masochism haha) clutch for $100 and its pretty much a brand new clutch with all new hardware..mmm.. Giggity.
One last thing, I helped turbocharge my buddies BRZ tS edition with a kit from "Full Race" and after i tuned it, we managed something like 425hp+ a little under 18psi with little to no lag.. still, imho it sucks due to him swapping to an equal length header (ELH) as opposed to the unequal length header that gives a subaru its rumble...
