    As a faust player needing to hit every kara mixmixmix picking up ABA.
    Here is an alternative way to do Kara dash cancels that I don't see spoken of much since people seem to insinuate you need to rush the motion after dash. I play on stick for reference.
    But you can do the C.S/5K, motion the input, go back to neutral (don't hold the direction anymore) and hit Dash macro then Button in a plinking manner (frame apart basically) since you're in neutral you will dash and since you already did the motion, you will do the move if you're fast enough. This is by far more consistent for backwards specials as trying to fit a motion after the dash can cause many issues. The key is you can't wait too long so it's just the manner of going to neutral and pressing the buttons instead of rushing the motion and button in the 2 frame window.
    Plinking it just feels better too depending on how your buttons are. (I'm having to swap my dash and dust to comfortably plink dash and H.S... that's gonna be fun to retrain my brain)

      It's ironic because I just learned to Kara dash cancel keygrab yesterday in a few minutes to play A.B.A by watching a different four minute video that espoused your method of doing Button 5S/5K while inputting 214 and then plinking dash and hs. I agree that it's more consistent and easier as I was able to do it pretty easily and consistently after the tip about letting the stick return to neutral first

    For people who might struggle with the dash-cancel part I have a small tip: the way it works for me is just buffering the motion input during the normal and then pressing the dash macro slightly ahead of the HS button

    I dropped Goldlewis awhile ago cuz I couldn't learn dash kara this is cruel and unusual punishment from Arcsys

      @@vitorgabriel6855 ok holy shit so my problem this whole time I think has been getting back to neutral after doing the special motion so that a dash actually happens, I just have to make sure I'm back to neutral before I do it and that realization just made me able to do it. 99% of my fails before resulted in just doing c.S into behemoth on Goldlewis, without the dash flame effect

    I take personal offense to that, I'm 30+ years old and love GGST. It was called Bonding in previous games too, Keygrab is just a more apt descriptor. Though I do refuse to call her bloodpack replacement moves anything but Injection and Ejection because I'm stubborn lol

    Awesome tutorial! Thank you, you should consider doing another Aba tutorial for her kara cancel 236s rekka follow up into super. It would be something like 236s->632146S~H(or K for the tentacles)

    you can also do the dash kara from 5k, which is loopable in the corner

    I thought and was sure that Kara canceling in gg refers to specials inputs overlapping directional/lower priority inputs. I think this is just dash canceling.

      Well to be fair you can use kara cancel to do dash cancel more effectively (motion first then kara dash/special input) but you're right. And kara cancelling as the same meaning in any fighting game lol

    Very cool tech! One thing that confused me though, do you cancel with her regular dash or her 214k? Cause those sparks on the ground normally only appear with her 214k

      You cancel it with a normal dash, dash cancels can be done off close slash or 5k.

      You can't cancel 214K into 236H

      The sparks on the ground you are referring to are an animation effect from ABA's 214k. The ones the video was referring to was a fire effect that gets universally added to any character's dash animation if they perform a perfectly timed dash cancel of the previous move.

      pratically the same, but close slash is plus anyway so it doesn't matter

      In general Kara’s add ~2-3 frames of startup

    In the corner looping 5K into kara key grab can be very oppressive and build quite a bit of JR meter. It's something you can abuse if the opponent refuses to FD.
