Sustainable, yes. Just like sustainable agriculture where you still eat the broccoli without running out of it. In terms of killing whales and how you feel about it is a different discussion.
@@stayclassyvlog I'm looking for a life companion here
im from the Faroe Islands (Klaksvík) and im so happy that someone took they're time out of they're week and made a video about the Faroe Islands so thank you so much for showing everyone what the Faroe Islands are like
How is the conditions foroe islands
@@mohamedbarre its a ibt windy and and raining a bit but other then that its been pretty good here for the last few weeks
It is similar in weather to Seattle. Very beautiful place.
What a beautiful place
Why are all the foreigners there Asian woman. Do men there have an Asian fetish? That’s weird.
I'm a proud introvert I would love to live in a place like this, I could get so much done!
They wanted to go to Faro, Portugal but they made the best out of the booking error 😄
I’m glad they did this mistake otherwise we wouldn’t experience this gem 💎
hahaha that's funny. Way to go Joen. It would have to be Joen, no?
Seriously?
I'm Portuguese....why would someone want to go to Faro?🤪🤣🤣🤣🤣
15 years ago I was lucky enough to visit these islands and was blown away by their beauty and nearly untouched glory. While up on a high and foggy hill I plucked a fist full of sheep's wool from the ground (sheep were spread across the slopes, grazing at their leisure) and twisted into a piece of yarn. That wool is one of my favorite souvenirs from that trip.
Thank you for this wonderful video which took me back there again! You made me realize it wasn't romanticized memories I have - it really IS as fantastic as I recall.
Unknowingly, you also did our national bird a favour. The shed wool can get entangled in the legs of them, making flying difficult for them, and a bird that loses its ability to fly, will die.
I appreciate the locals turning their backs to tourism. It’s refreshing.
Not a place I have ever considered going, but hey, it was stunning. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I have to make a comment on what you say about Saksun. Saksun has always been a focus area for tourism, but a few years ago it really took off. There are thousands of tourist there every day and the locals are sick and tired of it. Tourism authorities won’t accept there is a problem, as the heavy pressure on the area is taking its toll - on nature and people. The road to Saksun isn’t built for this heavy traffic, the town itself not ready (for instance there are no sewage and no toilets). In desperation they made a toll gate to prevent people to walk on the beach, which is damaged beyond repair already. And of course, some tourists are nice, but many are incredibly rude. Flying drones to the windows of private homes, walking on graves in the graveyard, well, even some have cooked dinner in church! It is so incredibly rude and inconsiderate. The farmers of Saksun are the victims of tourism. So incredibly sad - and there is no understanding for them.
It is really funny, that you mention the difference in mentality between faroese and danish people, because one of the prejudice we in the Faroes have against danes is that they always talk about money! And you prove the prejudice so beautifully! 🤣
Great insight, thanks for sharing. Even here in Portugal we were happy about the tourists at first but now it's starting to be too much.... I can imagine in a calm place like that, it's completely overwhelming. You can and should protect your precious island. Cheers!
Nicolina Dahl. And just like that at prejudice danes have against faroese people is showing to be true. Faroese people cant stand to get the obviouse pointed out, it IS way to expensive on the Islands. And these two are travelvloggers, which means that followers expect to hear what the prices are. Its primitive and also typical faroese to make degrading remarks, just because you dont like the facts. Not everyone is blessed to live in a country where there is high imployment rate. Am a faroese myself living i Denmark.
Look, I know, it is expensive to live in the Faroes, I do live here and it is obvious. That said, these people talk about the difference in mentality and you can’t deny that they talk a lot about money. I don’t degrade them by stating this obvious fact!
@@nicolinadahl4698 And thats what travelling vloggers do, so nothing new and surprising there. Some followers find travelling inspirations by watching these kind of videos and do like to get info about prices. You and I both know that its way to expensive. Its also ok if you think its to much, but I dont think its very nice to write it like you do, degrading with that smiley. But lets agree to disagree.
Wow, this was so good! I could really feel the islands come alive through your narration & filming. Makes me long for the North...
You guys have such an amazing channel. Thanks for all your videos and for your hard work in editing them so beautifully!!!
I've always wanted to visit the Faroe Islands. I find the culture so interesting. It looks STUNNINGLY beautiful.
I’m on the Faroe islands at the moment, it’s incredibly beautiful
Thanks guys for a very beautiful insight to your family history and scenery of the very remote Faroe Island with its dramatic cliffs and lush green grasses. Very cinematic.
Awesome video my friends ❤️ such a beautiful island. Love the videos with your mom and dad in them!
Stunning place and amazing scenery showcased spectacularly well by informative storytelling and exceptional editing and shot composition. This is the content we love from you guys. If only there were more places in the world, this untouched that you could bring to life in this way. We’ll done!
I love this video and how you explain it so well! Being able to communicate with the locals just takes your experience to the next level! I am going there next week, spending about 7 days and I cannot wait!
Thanks so much, Luke! It's true that speaking the language makes all the difference. Enjoy your trip! :)
How is the island
@@kasivu91 Depends on what you’d like to know! It’s definitely not the cheapest destination but I encountered very few tourists and the most unique landscape! I will be posting my videos from my trip in June!
Been watching your channel for a couple of years since the Lisbon videos as we're keen to move to Portugal. I have to say you have really stepped up your game recently, it's clear how much research and effort went into this video. Keep up the good work guys!
It certainly is beautiful. I am glad to get to see it on this well-made video without getting cold.
Good job showing us the islands.
So nice to keep intouch with family and visit them ..Don't give up or say it's too longtime do it they will become happy to see eachother this is the real life to be together until end.
Enjoyed every second, thank you guys for this great Faroe 's nature documentary. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
Really loved this video. I doubt I'll ever go to the Faroe Islands so it's nice to get such a detailed tour of the country - of course, with your great editing style it becomes even better. I'd have liked to learn more about the traditional food but it's ok I'll research myself :) Looking forward to your next video!
Thanks so much! We wanted to explore more of the local cuisine, but it was hard since there just weren't many restaurants when driving around. In Tórshavn all the "nice" restaurants weren't especially Faroese, but more just overpriced and decent food.
I really love these videos when you guys go explore other parts of the world! Hopefully other viewers are of the same opinion ❤️
Amazing, great video, real justice for those islands!
Gorgeous video - I may be adding the Faroe Islands to my travel list.
Wow great video. It felt like I was there with you. Beautiful shots and stories alike. I don't know if I will ever get to visit there as I am not one who likes the cold. However your video was like watching a travel segment except better. Not just the pictures but also the stories of the people who live there. As well as your family connections. Keep telling stories with heart and a sense of adventure as well as actually going there and checking it out. Can't wait to see what adventure you go on next. Absolutely loved this. Thank you. P.S. Amazing to see that there are indeed some places or at least one that has not been destroyed by humans and that it is still pristine and untouched. That in itself was well worth it to see this video.
Very beautiful place , your dad must be happy be back for moment. The movie have stunning montage , quality , idea , very happy to watch and enjoy every second.
As always!! AMAZING VIDEO! Até logo!
absolutely beautiful. More like this please!
The most insightful video of Faroe Islands. Watched it in one sitting and enjoyed the places we saw ourselves just a few weeks before this video was taken. Marvelous and lively narration.
Thanks so much, Vladimir! Hope you enjoyed the islands too! :)
Wow, one of the most unique video's you've produced so far, the link with the family must have been special. One word: STUNNING.
Thanks so much, Robin!!
Loved this video! Thank you for taking the time to educate and entertain us. I think your Dad looked just like the sculpture of his grandfather!
Thanks ♥️
Introvert? I can fit in here.... Nature so close..... 😍
Nice Video! Helped me a lot! I plan to go to Faroe Islands this summer!
I have TRULY LOVED THIS VIDEO. WOW! I laughed and cried. What a pleasure.
I saw a video where wives are needed on these gorgeous islands. 😊 Looks like a beautiful place and the people seem so incredibly kind. I am single, but maybe too old…I am 52, but need a major change in my life. I love your parents and all of your sense of humor. Well done! ❤🙏
Wow, thank you!
Wow it looks really beautiful and I need to put this as my bucket of list to do..
Wooow what a peaceful and beautiful place❤️❤️😊
This is an absolutely wonderful video. You are such good cultural commentators . I recognized many places from our visit to the Faroe Islands and would love to visit again.
Aww, thanks so much, Kimberly!
Amazing video, Faroe Islands look amazing 🙏
Beautiful video. I can't tell you what a delight it was to listen to the language .. reminded me of family memories. 🙂
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!

Hello from the Philippines. Faroe Islands are so beautiful! Thanks for your video. God bless you!
Another great video from you guys. You really succeed in bringing about a beauty and melancolic feeling that it almost makes me cry. I just have to watch this again. Thanx.
Wow, thank you so much! Really means a lot with such kind words. Big hugs!
Wow beautiful place

Awesome video makes me want to go to the Faroe Islands !!
Amazing and artistic location. Was so intersted in the familly history
Your parents are amazing and I loved this video 🎉
So beautiful thank you for sharing ❤
Excellent video! Well done. I hope one day to travel to Iceland and the Faroe Islands.
Thank you for your video 🦋
Really interesting. Love love love.
Wonderful tour!! I
think I heard some Danish; my Dad was from Denmark so he took us there for a month in 1972❤
Wow, guys! I watched the video of your ferry ride to the island, and that was good, but you have outdone yourselves with this video. Most enjoyable video. We are going in mid-August 22, and I learned a thing or two. Bummer about the mood in Saksun. That is on our list as well. We will be doing some kayaking in Tjørnuvík, which might be the highlight of our trip. For me, at least. Your video was informative about a great many things. Great to see you meet up with family. That must have been grand. Your dad seems like a great guy. Mother as well. Great job editing. Silly question and I think I know the answer, but why did you choose to speak mostly English instead of Danish in the video.
Takk fyri
There are other destinations that are not cheap too. This place is on my bucket list along with Iceland.
Very beautiful place, thanks!
❤very lovely to watch. Since watching this documentary about this place about shortage of women, I’ve been hooked since.
Nice to meet you today in praia formosa.
Beautiful Island 🤩❤️
Guys I love everything about this video! Good job! I wanna go there now!
By the way I’ve been all over Mexico, I’m half Mexican :) please feel free to ask anything about traveling Mexico!
Thanks for your kind words, Teanna! We're back from Mexico by now, but we have filmed so many videos there, so a lot of editing! :) Cheers
Good video thx for coming
It's beautiful! The people seem so nice too. It looks too cold for me ...and way, way, too expensive to take the family. But it is a nice watch on my large screen from the comfort of my air conditioned entertainment room, with hot sun beaming down outside. :)
I was hoping to see some artists, a bookstore, some horses. Anyone can recommend any videos of such on these islands?
Very interesting I love watching this video...thankyou all the way from Papua new guinea 🇵🇬
Well done!
I suspect if the Faroe Islands were an independent nation they would fare very well on their own. They are a very good argument for the value of self-government by their own people instead of from some distant metropolitan nation.
I agree
There really is not reason for Faroe Islands not to be 100% independent. I wish this for the people and I think they wish it too.
As a faroese citizen I know that Denmark gives us an annual payment of around 600 million dkk. If we would be detacted from Denmark this amount would lead to an increase in taxes which are already higher very high. Almost all of the youth go to Denmark to get an education as well.
amazing video. thank you.
While i already have a mind image of the Faroe islands as a beautiful place, your video surpassed my idea. What a stunning place it is. I'd really love to visit ir one day.
I did find the food/dining very high prices to be disheartning. I guess i would spend the entire trip eating fish and chips.
It is cool to know there is an historical connection between Faroe and Portugal because of bacalhau.
The high prices are definitely a minus, but the nature and tranquility alone are enough reason to visit.
So beautiful ❤️
Such a fun interview in Gjogv. That’s my grandma hahaha
Haha, really?? That's so fun! She is such a positive and happy human. Was a pleasure to meet her!
Thanks SO MUCH for this insightful video!!
You talk about these $$$ meals you had that felt home cooked, right?? ..Well your videos feel like a family vacation video... so full of love, care and humor. You guys have really captured lightning in a bottle, here. Keep on keeping on!! ☯☮🌺💟
Thanks for your kind words ♥️
I love to go there.
Hopefully 🥰🇵🇭
This video is a masterpiece :)
My favourite video so far 👌👍
Amazing Video beautiful place thank you 🙏 ❤️
Excellent editing. Great video. Parabéns! Por muito que gostasse de conhecer as ilhas Faroe, são muito bonitas, a minha conta bancária não iria aguentar.
Excellent video. I never knew that the Faroe Isle belong to Denmark. Your dad looks like his grandfather.
Would love to visit someday 💚💚
2:11 in the town that this clip is from, is the town I live in and I only noticed that because I saw my school 😅
I live in the faroe islands but right now I'm in Denmark but tommorow I'm going to faroe islands and i live in Klaksvík
Very cool! So you know my great grandfather although probably not in the flesh, hehe!
This was so interesting, and respectfully made. Some minor misfacts were also included, but nothing that really matters.
BTW we are apparantly related. My great grandfather and Kjølbro (the statue) were cousins and good friends. So we are distant cousins. Just as distant as me and my fiancé. That’s Faroe Islands my friend.
Been to the Faroes twice what a place !
It's a very special place! :)
I think I've sen these two in a clip about languages before.
Anyways, it's funny that the Faroese is like 1-1 with Swedish pronunciation, so when the Faroese speak Danish it sounds like Bornholm dialect.
It is better to know a Faeroe Islander...they are great people .
Amazing place 🤗
Beautiful
Amazing!
Nice Video as always :)
beautifull places, wish i was born there :)
Very nice, nature etc..for some.
They can have it.
Not your thing, huh? :D
