- !!!WARNING! FLASHING LIGHTS!!!!
An emergency situation when a bus load of school kids broke down at a busy intersection. Talon and I team up with the 4024 and one of the rollbacks with our new arrow board for traffic control to clear the scene very quickly.

Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for your patience. This channel has grown so rapidly that it is difficult for me to respond to all the comments. Rest assured, I will continue to attempt to respond to a majority of the comments when I have the opportunity. I have the business to run, family time, spiritual time, and videos to work on. I am grateful for everyone's support and appreciate your interaction. All of your comments are read even though I may not respond immediately. Let's keep it growing and I will keep it going! God bless.
Ron Pratt god bless you too
Ron Pratt what is snother wrecker channel you would recommend
Ron Pratt god bless, keep up the awesome work, your videos are absolutely amazing
Ron I would love to see more video using the arrow board on traffic control at night and during the day to see how people are reacting to the board when the Police are not present...
Ron Pratt
Now I have seen this same bus #2 towed twice but in 2 different videos.
This is the second time this bus has broken down.
Another awesome job by Ron's team.
It always makes me smile when I see how clean and well organized all your trucks seem to be. It shows how much you put in to being a consummate professional.
Ron gets to be crossing guard for the day

Ron... I never thought that watching tow trucks would be so much fun and quite interesting. After about the third one I watched, I subscribed. Glad you have an emergency vehicle status, even though the reds and blues are still ignored on the freeway- except by professional drivers. Glad to see you keep upgrading any device that can maybe keep you alive out there. Living is good... Bless you...

Such a professional outfit, you can see the respect the emergency services and the wider community have for Ron and Midwest Truck. Pleasure to watch
3:20 Wow the school bus drivers in Missouri sure do dress up. I don't think I ever had a school bus driver who wore a necktie.
Max Zomboni that was not a bus driver and in Mehlville mo they do not dress up
The bus drivers are actually the staff at school doing extra duty.
A friend's daughter attended an alternative high school in Minnesota where each teacher drives a school bus as well, transporting their own homeroom students both ways each day.
Not at every school. At mine we have a seperate bus company that does everything.
Max Zomboni I think the guy in the shirt and tie was supervisor of transportation or director of transportation.
"And thank you for watching" Ron, there is no reason to thank us, like somce my dad doesn't video when he does his tows, it always nice to watch a fellow tow brother's towing adventure and also see what carp y'all go through and especially in Missouri nobody pays attention to their surroundings so I have a t-shirt idea for if u decide to release merchandise. It should be bright yellow with reflective strips on the sleeves, and on the front it should say we bust ours to save yours and on the back it should say slow down move over.
Absolutely LOVE the shirt idea!!!!
I agree with you brother
Mr Ron Pratt I enjoy watching your videos and how polite and professional you are and you have very nice and clean trucks . I will be starting this Friday with a towing and recovery company and you videos are definitely going help me learn more about the towing and recovery world . thank you and god bless.
Ron, I think you must have been a traffic cop in a former life. You did a great job blocking traffic for Talon to get in position. I was worried about the school representative getting hit. He was not paying attention to traffic moving behind him. I would have asked him to stand on the other side or sit in the truck or bus. I like the arrow, and agree with others saying it's hard to see in the daylight. Thanks for the video. Great job as always.
Its awesome seeing talon who you mentored now running a nice rig out there
Like the new arrow board. Noticed it right a way. No matter how big, bright you make it there will those folks who will still miss it.
It does amaze me how day to day drivers always steer towards you. No matter how many warnings you give them.
There should be a national attempted and or manslaughter laws for interfering with or causing harm to first response crews.
And if you think tow and recovery drivers are not first responders or at risk. I invite you to come try it as a vehicle zooms by you within a few inches.
Love the video, Dad! You and Talon most definitely make a great team and can kick butt on time. Lol
;-) Yes we do. Thanks babe.
Ron Pratt love you!
Dang! Talon scooped the bus up in no time! Awesome team work y'all!
Wow! A great "hook it and book it." That traffic is scary, though. Prayers for the safety of your whole crew -- people just need to slow down and heed what's going on. . . !!!!!
you need that SLOW...STOP sign with all your work on a busy road to warn people to SLOW down...a great job done as always....
Good clean safe tow despite the traffic. Thanks for posting.
I just love how you and talon work together
Professional work as alway, from both of You and from Talon! Glad everyone was safe! It was pretty quick!
Thank you and God bless.
God bless!
7 minutes to from stop to gone. Outstanding work!
Ron I like your post I enjoy them very much I appreciate the job you guy's do and I wish people would pay attention more to you when you're out no the road like you are be safe and be careful Ron and tell the rest of them to do the same thing take care .
Thank you and I will pass along the message. God bless.
Another great job done by you Ron and Talon.
Now that is some mighty fine team work. So fast the video was too short!
Thanks very much. Sorry if it was too short. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Love the arrow sign. Now with that black backdrop it's going to be impossible to miss.
Safety first!
We're in Illinois near St. Louis for eclipse watching Monday and I wish we had time to stop in and say hello. What you do in your line of work is very much appreciated by those of us who understand.
I once worked with a crew in Texas changing out cobrahead street lights to LEDs and I was in one of the TMA trucks with a very large, very bright arrow board on the back pointing traffic away from the work sites, but such is life, some people just can't seem to process that it wasn't there for decoration and a lady hit one of the other guys trucks as a result. Thankfully the fold-down crash barrier did its job and there were no injuries, but it could have been avoided had she not been on her phone while driving! This is why there is such an extreme push to enforce laws against distracted driving. It kills! I have nothing but respect for your attention to detail and your safety conscious professionalism Ron. Keep up the good work.
Love the arrow board! Excellent idea. Watching you and your crew deal with traffic sometimes speeds up my heartbeat! Some people just do not pay attention, and learning about the "kill zone" made me realize, yet again, what a dangerous job you have. I've learned a lot from watching your videos, and the most important is, slow down and move over! Thank you again for sharing your life with us. God Speed, meaning God be with you as you go forth into battle.
I am so glad you find the channel interesting and humbled that the videos have taught you things. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Nice job. Back in my day my boss had a contract with State of NJ. We Did handicap school buses. A Rear locked up on a bus out on a highway. We got out there and had to help transport handicap wheel chaired kids to a new bus on a highway. Good times.
Really enjoy your videos.
I like the new arrow board. I have not seen one just like that before. Good work as usual.
Thank you and God bless.
That new light board is awesome, too bad more drivers don't pay attention to what you're doing...
Great video again Ron , be safe out there !!
Thanks for watching and God bless.
Great Job Talon. You are fast. Also great backing and getting into place. Light Bar looked great
I love that ending and the new dash cam. ☺
Talon's getting quicker! Heckuva good job! About 12 years ago, I had a High School friend get really "Messed Up" when he was towing a trailer, and his truck broke down. A car ran into his trailer, when he was between the trailer and his pickup. He ended up needing a walker. He died about 4 years ago, because of the injuries.
Thank you, Talon reads all the comments as well and I'm sure will appreciate that. I am so sorry about your friend. It happens all too often and it is so unnecessary. God bless.
That arrow board is a nice improvement. Other than a dark backing like others have mentioned, the other suggestion I would have to help you stay safe out there is a portable sign you can leave on the road a bit in advance of a scene to give drivers an advance warning, like this one: www.thefirestore.com/store/product.aspx/productId/31659/Dicke-Fold-Roll-Fluorescent-Pink-Emergency-Traffic-System-Accident-Ahead-Sign/
Hey Ron, thanks for another great video. As I told you before those school buses are all near & dear to my heart. I drove them accident-free 10 years+. I look forward to all your future videos.
Glad you enjoyed it. God bless.
Ron, the Traffic Director did its' job despite the fact that many drivers still don't pay attention to warning signs. Just one more attention getter as to traffic control. I thought that it would have been a little brighter. Best from the North Country of NH.
FYI. As a transit bus driver in Toronto, Canada. I can say that people don't pay attention even if you verbally give them instructions/directions. Lack of common sense these days.
Fast, safe, professional and clean. Nice job Mr. Pratt. You and Talon and the rest of Midwest truck are the best in the business.
Thank you very much. God bless.
So Ron I just want to say, you really inspired me. I have always kind of wanted to drive a tow truck. I have experience in auto mechanics, and in dealing with customers. After watching your videos, I got really inspired, and I sent a ton of applications. Finally, I'm pretty much have a job working at AAA, doing road side assistance. Hopefully at some point in the future that can turn into driving a tow truck for the them. I really appreciate everything you do, and I cant wait to one day call my self tow truck driver, just like you :)>
Best of luck to you. Work hard, learn well, and always watch your back on the roadway. God bless.
Hi Ron just watch your videos on moving the monument, very interesting and very well done. I think I have watch almost all your videos , your workmanship is so superior to anything I have watched. Now watching other wrecker operators is really sub par. Even my wife is watching them. Good luck and may god be with you.
I love your videos Ron it brings back memory's for me , I would recommend though all hook up essentials and frequently used stuff , cones , straps ... etc. be on a passenger side tool box preferably a high one that will open next to a highway rail , I always felt safer that way back in the day , thanks for these videos I can not get enough watching them .
The arrows looked really good Ron ...
Thank you! God bless.
Ron Pratt your welcome Ron ...
Quick recovery. Good job , guys
Love the Arrow Board that will work now all you need is a MOVE OVER DARN IT sign.
Stay safe my Brother!!!!!
Another great morning coffee with Ron and Talon. Super job you two. God Bless.
Thank you and God bless.
I understand what thought prosses is with cones and traffic signs. I'm being taught the same for long term high risk recoverys but for short throw and goes like this video my boss says the longer I stand on the road the higher the chance of being hit is. I guess my opinion is the more time spent with cones ect putting your self in traffic ups the risk of a accident
Outstanding video, great professionalism. Thanks Ron. My school district (Fairfax County Public Schools) has 2000 school buses on the road each day!
Thank you and have a safe school year.. LOL God bless.
I like that you do different things like the semi tow, rollback and traffic advisory.
Mr ron pratt thank you for the videos sir. Mehlville School District began school yesterday and my bus broke down yesterday. Lol ehat an coincidences
Impressive speedy "Picker Upper", good work. Good teamwork, skill and timing and you are on you´re way home again.
Thanks and God bless.
Another top-notch job by the crew at Midwest Truck! Ron, your videos are easily some of the best out there. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there on the roads.
Thank you very much and God bless.
Second time you've towed this #2 bus. Maybe it misses the lady that used to drive it.
Didn't see any towels / You and Talon make a good recovery teem. Good synchronizing the trucks, And as always thanks fer taking us along, God Bless.
I know TEAM...... Typo.
I think you could do with some black backing behind the arrow Board just to make it that much more visable during daylight, have it on like a hinged so you could fold the backing down when its not in use to reduce drag when driving.
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!
Someone else has suggested this also. I will certainly look into that. Thank you. God bless.
Ron Pratt
Cut an arrow shape to match the lights but about 4x wider than the light bar itself in a perforated metal (mega pasta strainer) painted black. Gives the lights a contrasting background and should make them stand out more, without drastically increasing drag (especially if you can curve the metal to deflect air somewhat)
When Talon pulled in to back up to the bus, you waved him to pull up more to get his butt over further before backing up. I was telling my computer "not yet Talon, pull up some more and get your butt over". Dang kids anyhow. LOL. He still got it done though. Great job, men. Wow, that was quick too. There's no way I could get a crane loaded that fast on the low bed.
Talon is doing great. We make a good team. He rode with me for 5 years until he got old enough to drive on his own, so we kinda know what the other is doing.....lol Thank you very much. God bless.
Very good and safe pickup, good to see Talon working with confidence and safety. Having another recovery truck as a blocker was a good idea Ron. I liked the time lapse again, from the flatbed Dash cam. God Bless Talon & Ron.
Thanks and so glad you enjoyed it. God bless.
Pure professionals! 👍 Tnx for sharing. God bless and watch over your crew.
ron I'm 13 yrs old from greenville mississippi me and my have a towing business and I understand the hard work u go thru I have been thru turnovers to loading helicopters and I learned a lot from you
Great, I am so glad you have an interest in the profession. Learn all you can and always put safety first. Best wishes. God bless.
I am loving the new video style and especially the end part. Very well done as always Ron
Great, I am so glad you enjoy the end. Many are commenting this as well. God bless.
Talon, Ron. Craftsmanship . Simple as... Darren UK
Thanks for watching and God bless.
Talon and you did a great job, thanks
I was expecting a talon cam when you said stay tuned past the credits. But great tow and quick road clearence
Thanks and God bless
It was a pleasure meeting you today Ron
Thank you and you as well. Thank you for stopping by. God bless and stay safe.
Nice & fast work!!! Good Job Ron & Talon!
Thanks again for your videos Ron.
Love the new gear and everything. New lightbar and dashcam.
Thank you. I take the suggestions from my viewers seriously and they have offered really valuable input toward the changes. God bless.
Love the videos! Always waiting on the next one!
Great to hear. God bless.
The bit after the credits looked like a leggo movie with the fish eye lens and the speed up and all
But did you like it?
Ron they should do a tow truck show of u and ur company
It has been suggested, but I don't want things scripted. If they were to permit me to continue just like this, then I'd consider it. God bless.
I used to love the wrecked on the speed channel. I don't know if it was scripted or not, but I loved it, sad to see it end.
He used my idea a traffic adviser haha love the vids Ron what you do is amazing I'm from the UK and we don't get much of this type of stuff
I take all the suggestions from my viewers seriously. There have been several that made this one I appreciate you being a part of that group encouraging me to upgrade. It is working very well so far. Thank you and God bless.
Another great video.... great to see the new arrow but you need something dark behind it to help with contrast and make it even more effective
As others have suggested, a black background against the arrow on the roll back would be a very good idea to make it stand out more.
Thanks for the suggestions. God bless.
nice one ron thank you. stay safe
I really loved the fast forward ending, that was really kool looking...
Good work as always Ron
Love watching your videos. No bad language like on some of the others. Thanks ,Ron.
Thank you and and you won't find those things on my channel. Family friendly all the way. God bless.
Love the arrow on top of the flat bed more tow company need then for their safety
I like how you show us how to be a tow trucker
Glad you have that sign now,Really hope it work's for ya on the highway..
Great job gentlemen..Be safe out there..
It has been working well so far. God bless.
Love the arrow board I hope you install on all your vehicles
Great Video My friend that as excellent timing that you guys did that in God bless you all
Thank you and God bless.
All ways a real Pleasure to watch your videos god bless you and keep safe out there
Nice video. I like the fast version at the end. I think you're ready to do some repo work now
Nice title. Sometimes I think there's a "bounty" on your butt, with all that traffic ignoring your signs and lights. I do love the new arrow board, and your little sign for slowing and stopping traffic. Here in Canada, you need a yearly course on how to use signs in traffic.. yes, a freaking course in signs.. lol :) You did a great job :) God bless and stay between the lines. by the way.. your little video at the end made me giggle out loud like a teenager. Fast forward made you look like a busy little ant, working your butt off .
Your current traffic control method works wonders! But I still think getting a police vehicle fresh out of service (Governor reinstalled for safety and ?legal? reasons) - light bars, sirens, computer mount and all - would be an excellent addition to your fleet. You could print out customers' invoices right from the car, you'd have cherries, berries, and sirens ready and available for when you'd need it. And with the lights and sirens running, your company could easily make a quick response to most situations to assess (Or to respond to a request for traffic control).
Just a few more ideas from me, Ron. God Bless you and your family. A very special shout out to those in your profession; Busy traffic and waiting to pull onto the road, rollback stopped up traffic for me to get through. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS
Thank you my friend for the wonderful suggestions. The arrow board is a step in the right direction and we are still working on research to determine what kind, type and size vehicle might work best for us for traffic management. I like your idea and will definitely look into that. Thank you for always taking the time to comment and uplift. God bless.
A potentially low-cost option could also be an impact attenuator on one of your rollbacks, with its wheel lift lowered and set in place (I hope I'm using the right term!) to further anchor it. I'd say you should put one on the rotator, but with all the weight that thing can lift, I don't think anything short of a tractor trailer is going to uproot it!
May our Lord Bless you and Keep you safe.
In the video at least, the arrow board was difficult to see against the bright sky. I think it should have some sort of a dark background if possible.
I have been getting several suggestions for that. I will look into it. Thanks for the feedback. God bless.
great timing for the other bus to show up. Bakersfield, Ca
Creepy bridge noises! Good job Sir.
I like the sped up recap at the end. It is funny to watch. I hope you keep it.
Awesome, I am so glad. It looks like we have had a LOT of coffee. LOL God bless.
Good professional looking traffic control!
Nicely done, Talon almost beat you to it. By the time you had set all the cones out he was almost ready to roll. Guess there will be a new modification to the roll back. A piece of pipe welded to the side to hold the stop/go sign while your hands are busy.
Thank you and God bless.
Thank you sir for your good work!
Very nice tow trucks . God bless and keep them videos coming lol I love watching them
Thank you and God bless.
Nice job I like how you put the street on there
Another great recovery Ron. Nice big arrow on new board, & seen several car come right up to back of truck.... I guess if they did not see the big tow truck & flashing lights sitting there, how were we to expect them to see the arrow... Very dangerous with the other drivers so close.
Some will never get the picture. God bless.
Like the new arrow board hopefully ppl get over to give you room to work
like others have said, you should have some sort of backing board behind that arrow, it's very hard to see otherwise, it gets washed out in the daylight
God bless RonPratt and good job
Thank you. God bless.
Pleasure to watch as usual mr Pratt!
Thank you. God bless.
Even though I'm in Myrtle Beach South Carolina, nice job and good bless you for your city
love the arrow board. Another great video.
Thank you and God bless.
