How much is the difference between point blank damage vs. non-point blank damage?

Melanite’s talent is considered an attack modifier just like her S2. So damage calculations (without buffers) would be something like this.
800 x 500% x 115%
Of course because of this she pairs hilariously well with buffers. And with a relatively low SP cost she pairs really well with SP batteries for some silly skill spam.

@@Fizzyon71 It’s her talent. Attack modifiers are always 1 + (x) with (x) in this case being the 15% more damage from her Talent. Turn the 15% to a decimal, which is 0.15 and add 1, giving you 1.15 or 115%

Decided to watch this because I do have her Pot 6.
Her skill 2 might be enough reason for me to level her, once I'm not grabbing E2 units for their niches. The real problem with Melanite, I think, is that she's really outshone by her other heavy shooter counterparts, not to mention the other ops in her banner. If you already have Pozemka, she has the same module as Melanite in terms of the ignoring dodge, and is just a more powerful and more worthwhile unit to invest in besides. Schwarz also has it in the case of an old player coming back to the game.
So with those in mind, her mainstay... Is her skill 2. There isn't that many lane-clearing nukes available to snipers, and not with as surefire an area of effect(Firewatch is the only other sniper that comes to mind that has this niche, and hers is 3 bombs in a *much* wider area, and if there isn't 3 enemies to target in separate tiles, they target a random tile in her area, making it do even less damage). This means she brings a niche to sniper knights that has died out as more powerful ops were added, so seeing how she'll be used in that niche will be fun, I think.

In the case of Melanite S1, it really looks like Aciddrop S2 can rival it. I still find S1 useful when trust farming because, like you said in the vid, there are maps and situations where Melanite S2 won't be that helpful
S2 is great and the module really helps Melanite shine

I disagree strongly. Because Provence has that crit chance of doing 180% attack multiplier, Provence S2 is the better skill. And if you position her correctly , you can crit quite often with that 50-60% chance.
