That's the shortest 3M long boat I've ever seen. Beautifully built though.
They said its giant not long
But was your mind blown🤯
@@curtxgaming7339 but the title sez "giant 3M long"
@@curtxgaming7339 can’t read?
I’m not great on meters but a 5/6ft person is not far over 1metree I think
This isn’t 18ft long
I love the ships from this era. These were the most beautiful ships ever build. Unlike today's monstrosities, its clear that aesthetics still mattered to designers back then.
you are right
those ships couldn't carry 11,000 containers could they though?
@@finnvogler8038 Does a ship have to be ugly just because it carries 11,000 containers?
@@Hannodb1961 Yes, shape follows function.
@@Hannodb1961 Apparently, unfortunately.
I have been making and sailing working model ships for over 60 years . This is the best model ship I have every seen .
welshpete12 I’ve wanted to build one but I don’t know what there hauls are made of (I’m assuming balsa or fiberglass) and it looks extremely expensive
This is a highly detailed and accurate scale model of the ”Cap San Marco”, one of the Cap San vessels of the ”Hamburg Süd” shipping company. They were some of the fastest ships of their time, transporting mostly fruit / bananas from South America to Europe/Hamburg. Her sister ship, the Cap San Diego is a museum today and can be visited in Hamburg, Germany, the most beautiful city in the world. You can also see the light red containers with the Hamburg Süd logo in ports all over the world nowadays.
Mein Vater war Kapitän auf dem Schiff. Es gab 5 Stück davon. Danke an den Erbauer dieses Modells.
I did work in 1965 on board of the "CAP SAN DIEGO" fom 'Hamburg Süd' but we never carried bananas or fruits from South America to Europe. Southwards we carried all kind of machinery and industrial products and back to Europe we had coffee in hatches no. 1 & 5, in hatches no. 2, 3 & 4 which were combined dry / cold storage hatches beef meat mostly from Argentina. These hatches had starbord and port loggers and center shafts to guarantee different freezing temperatures. Our ports in South America were Recife, Salvadore de Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Bahia do Sol, Montevideo, Buenos Aires and Bahia Blanca. These ships (total 6) were called the "White Swans of South Atlantic". I made 5 round trips Europe to South America and back to Hamburg before I joint the vessel "Cap Ortegal" from 'Hamburg Süd' at Columbus Dienst (North America east coast to New Zealand & Australia.
Love the Russian submarine in Hsmburg.
No it's not🤭
i once slept on cap san Diego in hamburg 👍

YA, “ACH DU LIEBER, MEIN SCHATZ”!!! “Sprechen sie DEUTSCH”? “Verstehst du”? Gorgeous model!! How many hours did it take you to MAKE the model, let alone PLAN it?! How much enjoyment you must have had in the making of it! Once it’s done, it’s a “letdown” but then the real “fun” begins showing it off!!! If you are German, you’re a MASTER of what you do! Just finished listening to Richard Strauss’s Ein Heldenleben, another German MASTERPIECE!!! “Rosen auf dem Suden” und “Auf Wiedersehen”! “Gesundheit”!
I am so impressed over your detail . You did a great job building this ship.
You can tell by the craftsmanship this man loves this model. It’s a beauty.

What an incredible RC ship. What a joy to see! Great job on building this!
Wow what a biggest rc ship so nice ship 👌👌👌👌👌
Magnífico ,muito bem construído , parabéns
That's amazing to watch such gorgeous model! My father worked on a ship very similar to this one named "Rio Capibaribe" from Brazilian Lloyd in late 60's. Cheers from Brazil.
That is a work of art.
I used to to live near the greatest locks in the world in the port of Antwerp. Yes, Anwerp, Belgium. And I had ships passing my house that were thrice he height of my roof. I've always been amazed about the size of ships. I cried before the plaque for the dead folk of Titanic at Ellis Island, "for those who never made it" and some such, and I always wonder and hope, those on these gigantic ships, will make it across whatever sea, whatever ocean they're sailing... I'm not religous, but you surely have my blessings, SRS-RC.
Wunderschönes Schiff . In Natura und als Modell . Very Nice 🙋♂️👍👍👍👍
Beautiful model of a time when ships were still designed with esthetics in mind.
Hello from V&b speed a new rc community channel stop in say hi thank u
Beautiful RC boat good detail very nice
CZcams proves you can build anything and everything by hand as long as you got the patience to do so.
Das tollste Schiffsmodell, das ich je gesehen habe. Einfach nur WOW!
Мы во времена СССР, учась в судомодельном кружке, о такой начинке корабля даже подумать не могли. Для нас это была фантастика
So where was the GIANT 3M long boat?
It's more like 1.3M
3m is 9ft 10in.
That shit is more like 5 or 6 feet. Not 9 feet
That's about 1.6 metre. I hate clickbait.
This thing is at 8 feet long.
A Museum Quality Ship in actual use 👍
As kids my brother and I put flags like that on Dad’s boat in Ramsgate harbour the Harbour master really got his knickers in a twist! Apparently we had all sorts of plagues on board. Superb model!
A true labor of love, absolutely beautiful, realistic in every aspect.
Only in Germany I imagine.
Truly a work of art considered all the naval additives and was very detailed in your application, may you,and someone you love take care of it.
The worlds larger than the space between your ears
What an amazing ship! Love it!!

Great craftsmanship!
The part everyone is looking for is 8.00 minutes in.
Ha! Everybody is assuming the “m” stands for meter. The “m” is me, as in the width of 3 of me standing together. Update: I don’t remember writing this and have no idea what I was referring to. Therapy starts on Monday.
How's therapy going?

Never ceases to amaze with what people spend time. That is very very cool. No doubt thousands of hours went into designing, planning and building. Well done Sir. You have my admiration and respect.
Man you need a small lake or large pond to enjoy this. It would be cool to have a smoke generator like you see on model steam trains. The detail is phenomenal.
1976 war ich 4 Wochen mit der Cap San Marco von Brasilien nach Holland unterwegs. Ein einmaliges Erlebnis!

Very cool ship! What’s nice about remote control ships is it is relaxing and helps you forget about what’s happening around you. Your In your own world!

Great Model 👍🏻Great Video 👍🏻❤️
Beautiful classic ship.
Just amazing and the detail. what an amazing Hobby.
That mhz aerial brings some nostalgia.
That little yellow sub is hilarious. lol
A nice model, the old ships with bridge and accommodation mid-ships, were beautiful and were not drawn with a ruler such as the big ships today are being built. The model goes with the right speed too, the large cargo ships did not go at 30 knots. Such as the large passenger ships, which fight for the blue ribbon. A good video too.
I have the impression that the ship has too little steering effect. This may be due to the propeller running too slowly.
@@Ralph_Cornell - Or incorrectly constructed rudder, relative to propeller size.
@@@haraldpettersen3649 A Becker-rudder may help.
@@Ralph_Cornell - Yes certainly, but I don't know if they can be bought for model boats, but there are certainly some who make them too.

Fantastic ship, but it’s not 3m more like 1.5m but very nice 👍
Chris Bowen yeah, definitely wouldn’t say 3. I would have thought 2 meters myself.
Absolutely stunning!! Beautifully done sir, your an amazing craftsman.

Wahnsinn! Tolles Modell. Ich kenne selbst noch die Originale Cap San Diego und Cap San Lorenzo. 😍
Ok report. Mind blosing ship
The sister ship to the Cap San Marco, the Cap San Diego, is on permanent display in the harbour of Hamburg, Germany. If you ever get the chance to visit, you should! A part of the ship is now also available to rent as a hotel and another is build to be an escape room, so you can even explore the history behind it. Stunning model right here!

Wow, superb workmanship inside and out.
Recent as this August I took my motorized bicycle to a remote spot near a camping resort with a private lake where I like to ride it's private it's quiet and it is very scenic with the lake there. I usually don't linger much after dark but this guy came up on me and started a conversation about my gas engine bike as the sun was going completely down we both noticed at the one dock area near a wooden trail bridge we had both ridden across to get to see the lake... As we are talking there is now a gigantic model CRUISE LINER sailing towards standing on that bridge. The model cruise liner had all the windows lit up lights on the bow & stern and even 2 lit swimming pools on the upper decks of this thing. The model had to be nearly 10 or 12 feet in length and about 3 maybe 4 feet wide. It was as massive as it was beautiful to see it just cruising in this calm water lake. Like this thing in this video it's not just a model its a work of a very passionate very skilled artist. Nice model.
Stunning model by the way!
Excellent job. You should make the anchor chains longer, it's not the anchor that keeps the ship in place, its the weight of the anchor chain laying on the bottom, more chain equals more weight.
That reminds me of the ship I built from a kit when I was a kid. I used glue mixed with gunpowder to keep it upright in the water because the rest of it was set with homemade fireworks. I lit the fuse and sent it sailing. I didn't have a remote control. So it went almost in a straight line away from me. About 15 seconds later the first explosion put a good crack just above the waterline. The second made a bigger hole. The whole thing caught fire when another explosion pretty much blew the top off and she sank to the bottom of the lake. It was cheap fun. Of course, I don't destroy them anymore. Ahh to be a kid again, lol.
Love to have this kind of masterpiece
Come on people, it is a credit to the builder of such fine work
Amazing piece of work!
If you wish to see the "mind-blowing" details in function, you can easily skip to 7:00!

Sehr schönes und beeindruckendes Modell 👍
That ship looks great! Details and all :)
Lovely job. Takes me back to my sea-faring days. Before containers ruined it.
The ship is simply beautiful. An operational windlass was a nice touch. Thanks
Can you point out where the operating wind lass is ?
