I came into the Doors update with a mindset that a few things would change. I am so happy I was wrong. From the new door opening sounds, to the new animations and especially the updated Door 100. I love how we have a kind of mini boss fight now instead of just pressing buttons, I’m actually kinda glad they did considering originally you could just run past Figure, no sense of urgency or fear. Now you have to find the buttons with Figure prowling for you. That’s horror. Also Figure’s panic run when the fire starts is just down right funny. The music brings everything together as well. If this is what LSPLASH made us wait for, I think I can speak for everyone when I say Floor 2 is gonna be well worth the wait.

13:15 Wrong room tip: you can listen to Dupe's sound so you don't get caught in the trap, first approach a corner of the door that you think is fake to check, you can go a few more steps to listen more carefully but be careful not to get too close to the door, Dupe's sound is quite low and its sound is quite resonant, so be sure you should compare the two doors to know its difference.
also keys will tell you the correct door number if the dupe doors have locks
Look at the number BECAUSE thats how you are supposed to do it
Memorize the door you are in its that easy
I got tricked when I found the key and I thought the right door was the one in front of me when I opened a random door I found out

dude the fucking achievement took me almost 6 hours to do, at least i got the badge a-1000
Tips:
For halt simply walk forward, and when he says turn around just walk backwards (meaning just pressing s, don't turn around)
For eyes look at the ground
For seek when there are 3 doors, just run forward until you see the blue light on one of the sides if not, its forward.
For figure crouch to where he can't hear you. And also figure gets faster with every book you grab. Finally if you need to get the number 9 or 8 or just a higher number right click on the lock, it goes backwards instead of forwards.
For ambush he does rounds, so he comes and passes you and then comes back. You will have around 5 seconds to get in and out. Some people get out right after him coming but he comes right back and then leaves for a little bit.
For figure at door 100, you can lockpick the door on the left and run in there after you flick the lever.

no you have to actually turn around for halt because it will work for the first 2 times but then he gets too fast and makes you take damage and will end up killing you, halt got buffed, this only worked before.
This update feels like a bunch of updates that should have been released over time stuffed together in one huge update. It really feels like a completely new game.

For me the hardest achievement I ever got was Two steps forward, because I was continuously turning, and my friends already reached the other room. So, then glitch came and teleported me to them.

For the "Rock Bottom" badge, those who completed it before Hotel+ no longer have the badge because LSplash deleted the original badge.
However you can still equip the badge in the lobby without doing the new requirements.
So I suffered so much to only find out this after I beat the game

@@phonaddictus You mean Expert Technician? Well I'm not actually sure (I didn't have the badge), but probably not, because the description doesn't say "After Hotel+" (or something like that).

My friend hwo has the badge said that you have to complete the elevator game in under a minute.
if you are struggling on the heartbeat minigame, the hitbox is quite a bit outside the heart, so you can press it quite early.
tbh i love the crucifix feature and the candle too, both are so useful lol

Some of these were recorded before hotel+ but seek was recorded when auto crouch was avaliable like ambush. Ambush now has no flicker lights.
If you don’t remember the door you went through previously for dupe when you get close to the wrong door your screen becomes a bit wonky/glitchy

I just beat doors today. I was about to pee my pants. I was 1 hit away from dying and I didn’t have a candle so on door 90 I always had to go near a closet to see if rush was coming. Thankfully I made it tho-
6:28 Before Voil was added, the badge is really easy to get, you get the badge just like how you get the voil badge but now it's really hard to get it if you have good internet

The music when you beat the game in the elevator is so good plus its such an amazing cutscene. and for some reason i love the music during the seek chases lol
19:17 if you have the crucifix and you're trying to get this badge it's best to not use it on figure when you get to door 100 (if you don't have to) its better to use the rift on it so you get two hard badges (the rift badge and the figure one.)
(UNLESS YOU ARE BAD AT GETTING TO DOOR 100 NO OFFENSE)
I just hold my crucifix out while collecting the circuits??? Ig??? And then once I get to the part where figure gets set on fire, I put the crucifix in the rift before doing the puzzle.

Halt tip: just walk backwards dont look backwards while walking and just walk forward if he appears in front of you just walk backwards no need to look backwards trust me he wont get you
Eyes tip: if hes behind glass/a wall you can look around freely just dont enter the room he is in
Better Eyes tip! As long as you're looking straight down, you can actually walk right through him, he only cares if you catch a glimpse.

also another tip for encountering glitch is if your in a group and they have pasted more than ten doors and your ten doors past behind glitch will spawn and teleport you to the group thats how i got my badge and theres a rare chance that you will get the ''it stares back'' badge.

Longest and hardest badge is A-1000 - the only one I need. I don't know how people have patience with this badge, because it's very hard to get it and you need ALOT of training and learn the mechanics.
I may be the worst player but im sick of this and im going to talk to my ohioan friend to give me the auto complete thing
Expert Mechanic is the hardest one because In the rooms you just have to know good strategies and know the mechanics of the entities. It's "hard" because it takes a long time.
@@slovakballmapper 1st: It's "Expert Technician".
2nd: You have to guess all correctly.
3rd: A-1000 can take an hour to complete, while Expert Technician just 2-3 minutes.
Both badges are easy as hell. It takes a few tries to figure it out, you need to know a couple of tips and that's it.

You can also encounter gitch by getting multiple rooms behind everyone, and you will get teleported to them. This method will make you take damage.

Okay, there’s something I have to complain about. The figure was rapidly approaching me, and was blocking a closet, preventing my escape, while I was crouching and trying to get into said closet. Obviously it didn’t work, but what do I do in situations like those? It made me waste my group revive, trying to get the A-1000 badge.
P.S, to survive avoid Dupe in case of forgetting the door numbers, you can just listen to the growling behind it.
This is a late comment but you can hide behind chairs as well! As long as he can't sense you. Figure is blind so he can only sense you moving. Hide behind chairs or the gap in the crowded staircase where you would get the coding paper.
Or, just turn away and try to get away from him.
Figure is very blind! Meaning he knows the layout of the library pretty well. Most surefire way of not being detected is to keep a piece of the environment in between you and him, like walking around a pillar keeping him behind it from your point of view. Best tip I can give you is he basically has a set patrol around the area. He won't walk right at you unless you're in his path, or if you make a noise. For example, you know the bookshelf you first see when walking up the stairs in there? His patrol doesn't go behind it. To be safe though, I always squeeze behind the chair on the other side. Also, on the other side of the upper area, there is a couch with a huge little nook behind it. You can basically chill behind there because even on the occasion that he checks behind the bookshelf there, he really can't reach/sense you're there. It's usually where I chill after I've found all the books and am trying to decipher the code. Hope this helps~!!

One question if you already got the Rock Bottom (Before hotel) badge do you still get Rock Bottom (After Hotel) badge or no since you already completed it before the hotel update I have tried it myself and it didn't show up

Tip: the crucifix can be found a TINY bit more commonly in rooms with beds and if the room has a door

One time I got to the end but figure was glitched on the ceiling for some reason so it was easy. I think it was because I used a lockpick on the door with the game and I was not suppose to do.
4:10 pepole really cared about the achivement while one of the rarest entities appears right before he exits halt
Actually theres 42 badges because of the 2 rock bottom ones, it is only 1 achievement tho
Theres also a secret achievement (not badge) for testers called "QA Tester"

Your missing something 23:27 To get interconnected badge u needed only candle one candle and go to 100 and get to the guiding light circle (sorry i dont know whats that) and there u go got it)(u need also need one item only)
btw for halt u dont have to turn around you can walk backwards and eyes you can look down!! :)
Anyone else going to point out that he got Shadow after showing the Halt badge? That big white rectangle is what happens when Shadow doesn't load correctly
