Shoving an Extra 100 Horsepower in a New Ram TRX 4x4

- The new Ram TRX is a beast of a 4x4 with it's 702 horsepower Hellcat engine pushing the power to those 35-inch tires. But overkill is the American way, so we're adding even more power. Sipple's Speed and Performance ( / sipplespeed ) got their hands on a brand new TRX and plans to boost the horsepower over the 800 mark while still burning 93 octane pump gas. Here's how they did it.
NOTE: In the video I made it sound as though Jon Sipple did all the tuning himself, he actually worked with ZDung Ho out of Texas for that. Sorry for any confusion. Thank you!

Spoiler Update: This WILL void the warranty so please beware if anyone is thinking of this. I was told by a buddy who is a Mopar teck that the lower pully upgrade like Incognito will usually slide by with no issues on warranty work unless lower engine or SC issues come up, Plugs, Thermostat is not an issue for warranty voids... keep all this in miind cause a Clutchless Pulley is hard on the SC but im sure this is known and just posted as an easy 100 hp mod...

I'm no mechanic, but is there any reason the gasket between the blower head and blower unit (terms?) wasn't replaced? Looked like metal on metal?

Is the stock heat exchanger large enough to handle the extra heat?
looks like it is since they didn't mention anything about it. I think it will also handle even more boost and some nitrous.

Curious on how much it affected your fuel consumption. A before and after mpg.
Shouldn't be to much of a difference.
The only difference would be under load or even more so under heavy acceleration since that's the only time more fuel would be added.
And my guess he is already in the single digits mpg so what's 1 less lol
People that own these or pay 100k for a pickup could care less about mpg 🤣🤣🤣
Not so much the price maybe, but the tiny fuel tank is an annoyance and a mile less per gallon is ~30 miles less before pulling in yet again

MPG is always on a priority list when dealing with a daily driver. Having to stop and fill every few days is not just annoying, but adds up to the cost of ownership. I hate when people dismiss that fact just because we can afford nice things.
So how much would this kit cost for someone if they wanted it?

When these guys don't answer....then you don't need them working on your vehicle....it basically is customer service.....friend of mine just did upper and lower pully,exhaust,plugs,and intake.....made 711hp at the wheels on hub dyno

Not really, belt contains cord fiber. That thing is Stiff

Considering it wasn't anything crazy just injectors pulleys and a tune its probably worth it for someone who can afford that truck in the first place and is not worried about voiding their warranty.

Can you please share what this kit costs plus what a well qualified shop would charge for installation? This motor seems to have more mods avail, with more potential power than just about anything I've seen. 1 month in, I'm still plenty happy with 702, but this looks like a great "stage 1" option.

One of the best, most affordable, & safest things you can do to add power is methanol injection. You'll never have to de-carbon the top end because it'll be steam cleaned every time methanol is injected into the cylinders. You can even buy windshield washer fluid that's rated for -20°F instead of the name brand methanol fluids. I've got an '06 Wrangler Unlimited with the 4L I6 & I added the Banks Sidewinder Turbo kit to it & since there wasn't an intercooler for it yet I figured I'd just do the methanol injection to act as a chemical intercooler. It really makes a difference on the Jeep when it sprays, especially in the heat of the Arizona summers.
I just spent $3k...but I got larger Injectors and added a boost a pump...so about $2500+tuning?
E85 and smaller pulleys upper and lower 200 ish hp gain

It's cool and all, but he said before the build it made 560hp, at wheels, when done he said stock was 540hp and gained 100hp, well I caught that guy, if you do the math it was 80hp gain
There's a 20 percent drivetrain loss. Our goal was to gain 100 horsepower at the crank. Which is legit, since Ram advertises 702 horsepower, which is the crank horsepower, not at the wheels. So 702 horsepower with a 20 percent drivetrain loss is 560 horsepower. And when we made 640 at the rear wheels, that equals 800 horsepower at the crank. Not trying to trick anybody.
No offence to the turner, but most tuners do not stand behind their work or they come and go. If the engine or trans fails, you have ZERO warranty after this type of work.
If you are going to overspin the blower, you need to have all the bearing replaced / upgraded. Send it to Jon Bond for his bearing upgrade.
I will be sending my TRX to Hennessey for their 900HP mod WITH a warranty .........
You should probably do your research on Hennessy before you decide to send your truck there. Search around the time frame of 2006-2008 ish.

Got mine at 74 leathers tow package no decals no ram bar and it goes for 100 now
I paid 93k for mine and have put 23 thousand miles on it. Just got 91k for trade in on it for my new 22 TRX that I paid another 93k for. Do the math on that it doesn’t add up but it somehow it works. They will put my old TRX on the lot for at least 98-100k with 23k miles on it and I’m sure it will sell very quickly.
