It's quite pleasing to see the general audience take in the minor spectacle. That's what makes these clips so enjoyable to see. I imagine it's even more memorable when Kyle compares his own first-person experience to watching the audience's reactions to his music, in the third person POV.
Every Airport having Kyle Landry seems kinda impossible, but a Piano in every Airport isnt to far fetched.

I know Naples and some halls in Paris CDG have a piano. They are often very good, unlike those you could find in french trainstations for instance.

556, eh? :P. I haven't been following Kyle for a long, long time but I couldn't help but think about those days and check out some new videos, so it was funny to see your comment. All in all, it's pretty nostalgic...and not just with him either. There were many pianists at the time that were really active (and some still are). The piano/music community that had been built around that time was so much fun. It'd be truly amazing to see him or any of those other pianists in person!

Whenever I see one of those videos with pianos being played in public, I like to think at least one person there was inspired to maybe pick-up an instrument. It sure does inspire me to pick-up my guitar after a long day :)

I used to be your student and I haven't practiced piano in a very long time. You really re-inspired me Kyle, I honestly got emotional when you started playing the FF7 main theme because that's one of the pieces you had me learn, I used to love it and now I've forgotten how to play it entirely

I'm always fascinated how you can improvise so well and play the same piece in a different way every time. A lot more interesting than pianists who can only play the same thing verbatim without improv (like myself lol)

The spectators faces, they had so many emotions, but at the beginning you could tell they were a little reluctant to acknowledge his skill, they were busy with other things... and yet they all smiled, gasped, and took out their phones to record a small portion of this legend.

pfff, entirely depends, some people hit 2-3k hours in a video game in just a year, im sure you can achieve 10k hours on a piano in 5 years. 10k hours is more than achievable at a young age, again it just depends on how much time your willing to spend on it.
Yeah I mean it's like 417 24-hour days of practice, so a year and 2 months of constant playing. just divvy that up over however many years say 5 and you get 6 hours a day.

There's just something different about playing for an audience live. The audio isn't great and there's random background noise but this is probably my favorite video of Kyle.

The best piano videos on CZcams have simple titles like this one. It’s really refreshing to watch, because he’s actually incredibly talented, but if you click on a vid that says, “random subway performer BLOWS EVERYONES MINDS on janky acoustic street piano”... It’s always just some average joe pounding away at a basic boogie woogie tune in C major while a bunch of normies stand around with their jaws on the floor. This vid is not click bait, and it actually deserves praise.

Went there a few weeks ago, coming back from Rome, had an hour to kill and wanted desperately to get some food... I instead found myself climbing over a blue velvet rope; they moved that particular piano- and busting out about everything I knew bar some of the really loud stuff. Needless to say, as much as I did get an ovation of sorts, It was great to really immerse myself in the piano after being unable to play for a solid week. You really don't realise how much you miss sitting down on a school evening and completely forgoing all sheets to just whip out your favourites.
I remember watching your videos since 2007 from your old channel kyle5556. You really inspired me a lot into playing the piano. Sadly I haven’t touched the keys since 2013 because my keyboard broke down . Good thing I stumbled upon this video and now I am reminded of how I used to love playing the piano back then. I do regret stopping for a few years but currently I am saving up to buy a new keyboard. God I missed those days. Thank you, Kyle for sharing your beautiful music with your amazing talent!
