No, People liked her because she was pretty yes and also because she had her shit together. She was a film star, she had the world under her feet, she was promised to be something big and could have been but because of her problems and bad friendships she felt like she was forced to resort to alcohol and drugs. She didn't have a solid family she can lean on and the friendships she formed were probably all superficial anyways so it's sad she had to go down that road.

The drinking and the drugs, she could die very young for all we know. If she were a normal girl and had no crazy drama in her life whatsoever, guess what? People would not be interested. People are sick. They devour the degrading garbage of a troubled celebrity.
