Please please ask your mom about flowers versus weeds. She seems to be able to recognize almost every plant during her walks with Nook! Sometimes the simplest plants have lovely aspects and are definitely worth keeping! For instance, even dandelions are valuable, especially because of dandelion greens, a wonderful addition to salad. Really. Check it out; ask nook and Mom! 🌳 🐶🦋

Taking care of an older dog can be expensive but of course totally worth it
Its annoying isn't it, for us supplements would be £20 for the month... for dogs £175! How do they justify it 🙈

@@SherpasDay It is the same medicine. Instead of picking it up at the Veterinarian, ask for a prescription to take to the Chemist for them to fill? Try calling them about the cost, the chemists I mean. I'm not sure what the laws are in the UK, but couldn't hurt to ask.
perhaps time to ask his vet about his meds and what might be able to reduce or quit Jamie?
A weed is a plant growing somewhere you don’t want it to grow! Call them wild flowers and you help the local pollinators and save time on weeding!

We just have to do what we have to do to keep them healthy, Jamie. My Lobo takes 8 pills a day for his epilepsy, and it’s pricey. But they’re so worth it. Glad to see Sherpa enjoying his garden so much 🐾💙🐺

Jamie, you don't want to skimp on the Thyroid tablets. Those help to regulate very basic needed everyday needed functions like energy level, heart, muscle, digestive function, brain development and bone maintenance. All very important to a senior doggo.
It's very good to see Sherpa enjoying his big green bed. I'm surprised that he chooses the concrete sometimes, but hey when you do get really sleepy and need a nap, sometimes the nearest place is the best.
Every surface is comfortable when your fluffy blanket is built into your skin 😁

Sherpa is so cute, patrolling his grand estate. We had a dog who did that until he couldn’t walk anymore. He’s not lazy, just reaping the benefits of a busy life.

Apparently basil is excellent for doh arthritis and I have a list of essential oils that can be used in canines. Only mentioning it from extrapolation of both your comment and user/profile name. Sorry if I assumed incorrectly but I thought it sounded like you are into allopathic medicine.

We keep getting flies in our house as fall is nearing here in the U.S. My husband keeps killing them but there is one little pesky one that navigates between my war room to the kitchen....driving me crazy and I am lousy at killing flies.

@@SherpasDayYou might have to hire an exterminator to spray around your home, the outline of your shrubs and maybe around inside your home. It’s odorless and not harmful. And you might have to get up on top of your roof to clean off the windows on the roof and sweep the roof and clean of dust, webs and spiders. Living with a lot of grass and trees and shrubs, it’s bug heaven for them. All you can do is maintain it a few times a year.. it looks like a big job, so good luck! 😁😉

Definitely a wonderful gift. I would definitely drill one or two small holes in the bottom to let water drain. I would also put a layer of gravel in the bottom to keep the coals off the bottom. I had one that got hot enough to burn the paint off then it rusted fast.
Hello Jamie and Sherpa I am a proponent of live and let live. I would take away as few plants as possible. The plants are most likely the homes of insects and seeds that birds like.
Humans are NOT not the only ones who use plants.
House is coming together beautifully. The fire pit is a great. Thanks to the lovely people that send such thoughtful gifts. Love Sherpa's patrols, we have a Kelpie that does our perimeter checks, keeping us safe from villainous possums, rabbits and sheep, not to mention sketchy ponies😂

@@SherpasDayJamie get sherps a huge dog kennel with rug and access to his food and water in a manner of no birds/wild life get near his food as it's very clear a snow dog is happiest on cold floor/ground so a blue mat pre chilled and some sort of magnetised door sherp could be taught to push open

Sherpa isnt worried about the door, he is inviting you out to HIS garden.
Bless him. The thyroid tablets are doing good stuff for his thyroid but they damage the liver. So you're helping the liver out with the supplements. Our dogs cost us a fortune too! One has had three operations on her cruciate ligaments and I think she's cost us around £7000. Another has had aspiration pneumonia twice and that's been about £4000. They're too old to insure too. But they're worth it!

Love to see the parent bird feeding their offspring. I had a bird come through a skylight (doing home care) and I had to think of how to get rid of it. I went out to their garage and grabbed what I could find, a fishing net. Thank God, her mother wasn't home to see me try to catch a bird with a net, in their new kitchen! I succeeded in catching the bird and releasing it AND no damage to anything in the kitchen! WHEW! 🤣😆 Sherpa is loving his yard and enjoying what comes his way, bless his heart!!!! 💗💗

My black lab used to do the same thing. I took him out and walked his perimeter for about a month. Then it became his habit two or three times a day. That was his job. Then I had a dog door installed for him, and when he wanted to stay out like Sherpa, does, he would stick his head in the flap to see if I was still in the house and what I was doing. Pay for the silly medicine; because I really miss hearing that flap click..
I know you don't mind paying a fortune to keep Sherpa healthy. lol Its part of being the guardian of a furry boy!🥰💘
