    You've set my mind at ease. I have the Tokina on order and expect to get it in the next few days. I do a lot of video interviews (also on an A7III) and often shoot in situations where the subject is closer to the background than I would like. I'm hoping the lens will help me achieve better separation.

    Have you experienced camera locked up? While using the tokina, my sony a7iv is locking up after couple of shots. I like the performance of this lens (image quality and quick autofocus) except my camera locked up issue.

    Wow, wasn't expecting this result. Have heard almost zero of the Tokina brand. I have the f1.4 30 and 50mm from Sigma for my Sony and will get a couple of new lenses when I come to Dubai for some shopping.
    I was thinking of spending more on the f2.8 24-70mm or 28-75mm Sigma or Sony. Then get prime 85mm. This one seems to be amazing value for the price to add to my lens bag.
    Again, great content!

    2:43 look behind her head. notice how garbled the octagonal boceh looks. look how much smoother the Sony looks with its smooth round sides. That's why smooth round sided football boceh is more desirable than octagonal boceh. In other parts of this picture it's more of a toss up.

    • @professorstein5855
      @professorstein5855 Před 2 lety

      You'll notice that Oma zooms in to a conveniently different spot before saying "this boceh looks better.." which overall does not.

      None bokeh is the best. As it's subjective, I would pick Tokina bokeh over Sony.

You specifically zoomed in to spots where the Tokina looked good and not where the Tokina looked bad. If you pointed out the good things about the Sony then I wouldn't be here saying how biased your opinion was. It's almost as if you got paid to say Tokina was better.

    2:32 False. Boceh footballs with smooth round edges(on each side) are more desirable than octagonal boceh ESPECIALLY when the octagonal boceh is lop-sided like you see in this image.
