- One of the most common terms that you see thrown around in the Overwatch community is the concept of synergy, basically teamwork on steroids. In a team reliant game like Overwatch, having players with synergy is a huge but lucrative advantage, as you can only get by playing together for years. In season 2, a team emerged that had so much synergy, the blew everyone out of the water. This is the story of the Vancouver Titans.

And now they added one of the most unstable players of time in fissure, and added a legendary (but washed up) player in ryujehong who is just gonna be benched behind twilight. And they took off bumper and tizi so they have no backups for whenever fissure inevitably self-destructs. Good job titans.

StrimClocks Ehhhhh, I wouldn’t say that. Last year they were just so inconsistent. But I can definitely think of more teams that are way more disappointing than Philly.

To be fair, a lot of people, fans and casters, were high on the shock in stage one. They lost to NYXL, Vancouver, and lag in stage 1 but all of those matches were close, each map was close. Plus they didn’t get viol2t tile like game 3/4 so it took some time for him to adjust. But people thought highly of sfs.

I said surprisingly because Genji is usually a throw pick in OWL, not because I expected Haksal to be bad.
Just saw that 6k of Jjanu on hog, fast forward to 2020 and Jjanu is doing the same thing.
Why they cut both bumper and tizi in favour of fissure I'll whenever know. Fissure is good, but why not keep at least bumper, one of the most recognisable and best players on the team. Also I love jehong, but twighlight is a beast and I cant rate him higher and have to say it seems to be a bit of a strange pickup 🤔
James Watts I think it’s because bumper and fissure have overlapping map pools so there wouldn’t be much point In having both
@@borris542 very true, but given fissure's past and them now having him as their sole main tank would you not want insurance, Especially as he was so popular with the rest of the team too.
I agree they have similar map/hero pools but it'll be interesting to see how this plays out this season
I'm mean Twilight + Jehong is far better than Twilight + Rapel so that's an upgrade especially in the team environment aspect
and Fissure was running for 2018 MVP and was the best MT in the game at the time he is definitely an upgrade over Bumper who was the glowing weakness of the team after stage 2

@@brainlesscactus3184 definitley better than rapel, itll just be a shame to not see him get playtime like he might do on another team that's all. I do agree fissure is one of the best in the game and hes better than bumper, but now with no backup main tank they've got to hope fissure will stay and keep him happy for the season, I think I've still kept bumper though.
I cant argue they're a strong team and very interesting going into this season, just throwing my thoughts out there 💥

Yeah probably weren't OWL level at first but we're never going to see a 19/1 record over the course of 1-2 stages ever again. That was defo for the record books. Shame they lost their MTs for someone more questionable. Never Forget OG Runnaway though!

So i've always wondered about this but why didn't the Titans get any advantage in the Grand Finale as the winners of the Winners' bracket? It seemed unfair that during those playoffs the Shock could afford a match lost and not the Titans.
Technically titans played less matches compared to shock (4 matches vs 6 matches)

IIRC, he left the team after their Apex season 2 run to join C9. Which at the time ofc made sense they're a much bigger and well known brand. But after that Kaiser and Runaway grew apart.
