I was leaving Barrett Jackson last week and jumped on the 101 West. After a mile cowering in the right lane I was passed by one of these squashed down amazing race/street cars loping along at about 80. It was blue perfection and the rear tires had to be a foot wide. Wow, I thought. Then some sort of yellow rocket sled went by. Squashed low with all sorts of cut and slashed body panels surrounding a nearly flat glass cockpit area. It orobably had 8 tail pipes in the center of the back and an enormous black wing. As I was marveling at the million dollars that just drove by another one passed me; then another! I was passed by ten of the newest most powerful amazing pieces of automotive engineering that the world has to offer. What a show and I have absolutely no Idea what kinds they were. I can spot a 58 Buick Roadmaster though.
A guy was traveling down the interstate doing 80 MPH in his Ferrari. Soon, a cop pulled in behind him and lit him up. The guy's heart started pounding faster and harder as he down shifted and he took it to 100. The cop caught up to him so he upshifted and went to 120 but the cop stayed right on his tail. Suddenly, he put on his turn signal, slowed down and pulled over. The cop walked up to his car and asked the guy,
"What were you thinking doing 120 back there? Tell you what. It's Friday the 13th, I go off duty in a half hour and I don't need all the paperwork. If you can give me an excuse that I haven't heard before, I'll let you go."
The guy said, "Well, officer, my wife took off with a cop last week. I thought you were trying to give her back."
The cop said, "Have a good day, sir."

I was working in a Shell station in Florida in 1976. I had a guy come in one night, in an older Jeep, who ran out of gas about 10 feet from the pumps. I told him to put it in neutral and I'd push it up. He said nah, put it in 2nd gear, hit the key and cranked it the last 10 feet.

The joys of using an AI voicebot thing, unable to give us the nuances we have due to saying what was typed into the software. Didn't like the early AI voices, and still get the uncanny valley over the subtleties they still miss out on. And yes, getting to hear the cars would be soooooo much better than any generic computer voice-over.

I didn't say it was a 400 mph car. Nothing can take a corner like it and still keep the speed up. I suffer from CTE. One second I know what I'm talking about and the next it's gone. Google electric car that's faster than a F1 Indy car. Then look up Indy car vs a Cafe racer. This is great

Theoretical speed only counts in astrophysics, and estimated delivery dates. Kind of pointless if you have to make an appointment with NASA to experience it. The only thing mind bending is what some people will pay just to add another hyperbolic claim to their collection.

The Devel 16 has a claimed 5000hp but I don’t think ever went into production.
These cars are fine on the track but driving in cities is not practical. In addition, with the exception of one electric car, these represent the pinnacle of gasoline powered engines. Electric and hydrogen powered vehicles are the future.

What flew off the Czinger at the 16:16 mark? None over 400mph is click bait. Shouldn't see two F5's or Agera's R,and S should be added. The Super Sport 300+ is still a Super Sport that can only go 300mph at their track no where else due to it's electronic cap speed 273mph.

Bugatti does not hold the Guinness world record for top speed. The Agera still holds it as the Bugatti did not make 2 passes, which is required.

Fantastic machines, playthings of multi-millionaires. But even affording one, you're never gonna even flirt with their top speeds unless you get on the VW test track in Europe.
How many times have you driven across America? There's plenty of places on I-90 that this could be done. You just have to have a couple cars with radios to do it safely . Nothing but nothing for as far as the eye can see. But you will need to bring some fuel with you in one of the vehicles because at those speeds you will empty your tank quickly.

The best car available today is the Aston Martin Valkyrie. It isn't made by NASA engineers but it is designed by the greatest F1 designer in history, Adrian Newey.
